Good stuff, thanks for all the feedback. Lots of helpful information!
Just participated in my first NLU event and joined up on the nest. I live in Johnstown and Iām a member at Champion Lakes. Looking forward to some rounds with yinz!
What event did you participate in? I live in Latrobe and a member at the elks we should meet up and play!
@CTrabert and I played The Final Round down in Pinehurst. I havenāt played the elks in a couple years, champion is always a good spot after school!
I donāt know about PFC, but Iāve got initiation fees and dues for Longue Vue and Fox Chapel if you need it. I just moved to FC, so Iāve been shopping some clubs in the area.
I donāt know about PFC either, but I will certainly do a home and home at Valleybrook, once you guys join up haha
Iād appreciate seeing your research.
I have longvues but not any others in the fox chapel area.
Happy to host at Hill Crest sometime. Weāre the peoples CC, nothing bougie, but it plays nice
I was so confused my first time playing there. I called down like 2 weeks in advance as part of a Central Counties exchange. I show up and they say āwe donāt do tee times hereā. Just line up at the first and go out.
Yeah, Iām theory itās nice just to walk up and go, sometimes itās a pain in the ass when there 3-4 groups waiting to go out. Even still, I can count on one hand the times I went there and had to wait last year minus the weekends when the groups go out in the mornings
So has anyone creeped on any of the other Roosts? How many do we need to form up?
Anyone jumped to Ohio or DC/MD yet?
I recall there may have been some thought of getting one in Pittsburgh/western PA and Iād love to see that at some point. I know there are a few Erie people in the Ohio one. I joined that one, too. The match play event in Ohio seems like itāll be sweet.
Roosts are all settled for the year but there were early talks of having a WNY/CNY/WPA roost but application was denied. They were going for at least 20 members, we got to about 15, I believe. Maybe next year
So what one are you in, @jsauce? Just taking the year off?
Iām in the Ohio roost
can you change affiliations if they add a WPA/Appalachia one?
Iāll just use ages 31-35 for reference. The FCGC initiation fee is $30k.

Club memberships by invitation only. Obviously lol
Yes lol. There are definitely some more cost-effective options in the area.
A friend and I were playing an event at Longue Vue a few years back and called to see what a practice round might cost. They said $275 a guy
