Roll call: Phoenix/Scottsdale

Heading y’alls way in a few weeks and super excited! Not a Golf Trip, but booked an Easter Morning round at Talking Stick O’odham.

Few questions for the locals:
Will booking as single ever result in getting to play as a single or small group? Not necessarily on a time-crunch but with other things going on would like to finish in a reasonable time.
Is the course pretty walkable? Feels like this could be a “see above” so apologies in advance if I overlooked that.

If anyone is looking for a game that morning please go ahead and join the group (6:50am). If I’m gonna end up playing with strangers, would much rather it be the strangers that I meet here than what else could be lurkin out there.

Welcome! Glad to have you in town.

Highly doubtful, especially in the morning. Being Easter helps the odds of it not being full, but I would count on you being in a foursome.

Very walkable

I would normally love to join, but can’t make it work with it being Easter Sunday.

Love O’odham. Enjoy! And as usual Jpop is spot on! Which reminds me. @Jpop942 i think I’m going to try and play wkp saguaro, oodham, and Dobson sometime in may. Very likely I only play 2 of the 3 but would love to tee it up with you!

I’ll be home all May so I’m sure we can make it happen!

When in May will you be out here?

I will be out of town some of that month but I’m always down to get out at those courses.

Yes, I am inviting myself.

It is worth nothing that while Talking Stick is as walkable as they come, like every course out here the default mode is riding, so they’re going to want to set you up on a cart from the moment you arrive. If you want to walk, be prepared to tell literally everyone you see that you want to walk and they don’t need to take your bag and put it on a cart.

No dates set just yet, will probably book flights soon though. Going just to see family, play golf, and possibly get fit for some foreward irons . But if they ask, it’s just to see family lol

I have never played any of these and could use some better architecture in my life more often so we’ve got a foursome

I know it’s supposed to be hot, but is anyone looking to get out and play Saturday afternoon 4/12?

@tristansipe and I have booked a 4-some at Power Ranch next saturday, April 12 @ 6:52 am. Still have 2 open spots if anyone wants to join for an early round. Have to know by thursday before I cancel the spots online.

Yes, we know it’s saturday of the masters. But this round will be just as prestigious, and you will be home in plenty of time to get situated for the leaders to tee off.

Bump. Come play golf with us on Saturday morning.

After some cancellations. Spots have opened up for The Golfer’s Journal outing at We-Ko-Pa Monday 4/14. 36 holes, 3 meals.

Hey everyone. Long time NLU fan first time nester/rooster here in Tucson. I know this the Phoenix roll call but is anyone from the Tucson area?

Welcome! Not a big Tucson presence, but one of the best guys around, @samba24, lives down there. There may be one or two more folks down there as well but I can’t recall.

How is the weather? Last year we had the conference a month earlier and it was paradise.
Cool evenings and perfect days

You are catching it a pretty solid time. Gonna be low 80s and crawl into the 50s at night. Ideal golf weather. Got lucky tho. Last week it was creeping into the 90s.

Should be an excellent day of golf.
