I found the disconnect. My time for a weekend having to go through the Hilton to secure the time was $460. I know that’s probably over market rate but didn’t have much of an option to get that exact date on relatively short notice.

I have one round under that for plantation and I think one was closer to 500. Oh well moneys only good for spending!

Hey, still cheaper than Trump LA.

Gotta stop defending Torrey South now, I’m feeling queasy.

Is what it is, memories are priceless! Best part is my wife told me to book it even though it’s our first anniversary! Can’t complain too much about that lol

I mean, I hope that includes hotel, in which case it’s not a bad deal.

Good on your wife. (19+ years in and I can’t even remember our first anniversary so at you will have that.)

Hotel is separate but that I thought was a super reasonable rate!

I’ll second this as I did a Michigan trip last September. We hit the big 3 in Grand Rapids then went up to Arcadia Bluffs and Wolf River for a day.

Couldn’t recommend this enough for a golf trip that won’t break the bank and still have you talking about the courses after.

Anyone want to tee it up on Labor Day? Looks like a lot of times available at Aguila, Papago, GCU, etc.

Would be in if we decide to go early, the earlier the better for me. I don’t see any times at Aguila, but maybe that’s user error!

I’ve been informed that I am not longer available Monday.

Nothing to see here. Waffles knows how to read.

Fellas. New on this platform. Coming into Scottsdale (fairmont) 9/12 - 9/14. Looking to get 3 rounds in and local company would be great. I have to be done by 5pm each day. Other than that let it rip.

Also, I read the chain on best courses but latest info would be great.

Staying at the Princess, the hotel may be able to get you onto TPC - Stadium or Champions (I’ve only played the Stadium but I’ve never met anyone who played the Champions who didn’t like it substantially better than the Stadium Course) and probably both Grayhawk courses at some sort of partner rate.

Three spots at Encanto at 9:12am on Sunday, September 1st if anyone is interested

I’ll be in town for work starting tomorrow through Friday, and potentially looking to play Friday afternoon. Is anyone interested? I’ll also be staying the remainder of the weekend for the Mississippi State / Arizona State football game. I’m taking any and all recommendations for restaurants, bars, and breweries around campus.

I won’t be able to play golf due to work but you are more than welcome to come through our tailgate on Saturday if you’re looking for a place to hang out pre-game. Feel free to DM me if you want the details.

Edit: actually, I may not rule out Friday afternoon golf just yet. I may be able to swing it but would be a late decision.

As far as non-tailgating options around ASU:

  • The Chuckbox is an ASU staple. Cash only burger joint.
  • Four Peaks is a bit east of campus but a well-established Tempe staple of a brewery
  • Devil’s Advocate is off Mill south of campus but is a good ASU-themed sports bar
  • Pedal Haus is a good brewery on Mill
  • University Sports Grill is another ASU themed sports bar (smaller than Devil’s Advocate) that is on Mill. Good wings.

I’d add Caffe Boa on Mill if you want a slightly more upscale Italian spot. Great homemade pasta.
