Roll call: Phoenix/Scottsdale

Rates have certainly skyrocketed. It’s tough out there rn. We-Ko-Pa does have resident rates though maybe you need to call to reserve. I see the resident rate listed on the rates portion of the site but not inside the tee time booking engine.

Welcome back. Pretty sure We-Ko-Pa did an in depth background check and knew you abandoned us in AZ.

But yeah rates have shot through the roof. Even the summer they don’t come down as much anymore.

Once you get settled you should join some of us for a round.

You can still book state resident rates online. Just go to the main booking engine and it’s an option (if you’re looking at a time less than 7 days out).

And, to echo other thoughts, yes rates have exploded. Obviously everything was always high this time of year but 10 years ago you could play a ho hum course for a reasonable rate. No even the ho hum courses are asking for stupid high rates.

For sure! Paid $140 ish to play Legend at Arrowhead last weekend, and I cannot believe places like that are getting away with charging that much while still having a full tee sheet.

I think the 7-day restriction is what got me there. Thanks!

I’m sorry on both counts. That course is decidedly less than even ho hum.

Posted in the WMPO thread as well but can’t hurt here, looking for 2 GA tickets for Friday if any one is selling extras.

Made an early time at GCU on Sunday 2/11 (7:14am) if anyone is interested. 3 spots available.

Hey @DryHeat! I’m heading out to PHX in March with my brother in law who is a fellow NLU member as well. We just missed the 2 ball event as we’re in town the weekend of 3/8. We are planning to get out the afternoon of 3/9. Anyone want to meet up and play?

@Jpop942 is joining me down in Tucson this Saturday at Fred Enke at 12:48. 2 spots open if anyone wants to join! We will likely be grabbing some food and chillin after too

Come join us! Escape the inflated Phoenix Open week green fees two hours south.

Love this idea and would be open next year if we don’t have any WMPO visitors. I was there for the practice round this morning and had so much fun I may skip the actual tournament moving forward. Here are some random dudes I saw talking about Bermuda, bespoke menswear, and how not to putt.

Tuesday is an elite day to go if you can swing it with work.

I’ll be at WMPO tomorrow for the pro am. If anyone else is going let me know, let’s watch some golf

Anyone been out to Grass Clippings for night golf yet? Wanted to ask how it is and if they let spectators out?

My wife posed the question to me of when was the last PHX weekend trip I didn’t golf and I couldn’t answer without looking it up in my phone so naturally… I’m trying to golf but include the fam. Seems like a fun laidback spot and prob more conducive to walking/spectators than other short course options like Mtn Shadows.

I just did this last weekend with 4 guys & 3 of our wives. They appreciated being part of the round and we had a great time (minus unexpected wind/rain at the end of the round). Definitely more of a fun & laidback spot. A few longer walks on the par 4s they convert to par 3s for night golf, but can either squeeze in or hop on the back of the cart for those.

My crew of 8 has dubbed Fri 2/23 a rest day and only booked Mountain Shadows in afternoon. Coming from Chicago, I am maxing out the time and booked a 745 am at Papago unless any roost activities?
It is a Friday and booked up Thurs and Sat.

I currently have one spot open at GCU on Monday, 2/19, at 1:14. It’s Presidents’ Day, so if you have the day off and want to play let me know. I may have a second spot open as well but tbd on that.
