Need to redeem myself after evacuating myself after making the turn at 37 and shooting +8 on the back and nearly hitting a car on 10.
I believe we have some Moon Valley members in here. Thoughts on the course and membership? I’m not sure it’s in my immediate future but toying around with the idea of joining somewhere in a bit. From what I know it seems like one of the more realistic options.

Will be down in AZ (Encanterra in San Tan with family) next week. Does anyone have opinions on Poston Butte?! Worth branching out from Encanterra to check it out? Also open to any other suggestions down in that area that may be worth checking out, they don’t need to be fancy!
Haven’t personally made it out there but want to see Dinosaur mountain in Gold Canyon…but don’t think it’s very cheap
I got out there last year when I was visiting, was a very tough course but some awesome holes/views. Really helped to play with a local I got paired with.
Poston Butte is above average but not spectacular in my opinion. Its a Troon course, conditions should be great. The front 9 is flat, pretty open and has a couple interesting holes, the back 9 runs through a neighborhood and actually has the more interesting land. I remember 14-17 being a really good finish.
Other east valley options worth seeing would be Dinosaur Mountain (Not Sidewinder) and Longbow. If you’re looking to not blow out the budget then Toka Sticks or Viewpoint are really solid. Las Sendas and Red Mountain Ranch (Dye design) are interesting/quirky desert courses if you’re into that kind of thing. Finally if you feel like driving an hour go check out Southern Dunes in Maricopa, a top 5 public course in my opinion. It a hike to get out there but a really fun round.

Hey, y’all, just booked a foursome at Encanto for Friday, November 18th at 10:32. It’s still pretty open so I’m willing to move the time if need be (I just sort of picked a random time that wouldn’t be too cold and late enough to avoid the brunt of rush hour). I plan on using this as my quota round and would love for folks to join.
