I just thought I’d check in and ask how the round went?
Sorry I’ve been a bit quiet on here. I quit ymy job recently (what else would you do in a global recession fuelled by an incurable pandemic). Now have another job lined up.
I’ve got a week off from 4th September - 12th September. Was thinking of going to Kennedy Bay.
Any takers?
Scored a round at Karrinyup recently. I’ll do the polite thing and crap an about the place and give you all a shot by shot run down of the round.
I’ve devolved into old man’s golf. I may get kicked off this board, but have regularly started laying up and hitting to the middle of the green. Like recently on the 7th at Lake Karrin… Never mind.
I’m planning to get two 18s in during that week (Kennedy and Joondalup to cover off both extremeties). Anyone keen, let me know.
Pity you can’t make it. Maybe separately a Lake Claremont 9 and beers in the meantime? I still love that place.
Still not gotten over to LC as yet, but definitely plan on doing so. I’m trying to keep my golf outings to once every few weeks at the moment so as to not take the piss, and have to head up to Northam Saturday week to assist with a house move so getting out to El Caballo. Otherwise, just trying to get a gig in the Maylands Sunday comp that @TheFifth is starting to dominate Always keen for new tracks though.
Fark, I have a surprise 40th birthday party to go to Saturday… and 2:45pm would be cutting it super tight (tight piece of property). Will have to give it a miss i’m afraid.
If you guys set up Joondalup for the 7th/8th i’ll see if I can wangle a day off/chuck a sickie…
Hey @TheFifth - sorry to do this, but in my last two weeks of work, my boss has decided to make me work on Saturday. I could make it there in time for the round, but it’s less than a 50/50.
Having said that, I’m free Sunday morning. Can do Lake Claremont Country Club or Wembley (or somewhere else) if anyone is interested.
@D.Crad and everyone else - both 7/8 September work for Joondalup. I’ll wait a bit and see how many others can make either day and then book something.
I must apologise for my tardiness over the last month or so. Things haven been a bit hectic at the moment and as such golf has been pushed aside. However, things have settled down a bit now, so looking forward to chasing a little white ball around.
I am currently still working part time (cheers COVID-19 and oil price) I could be a goer for Joondalup on the 7th September if I can find a baby sitter.
Fellas, how goes it? I started 14 weeks of leave from work so if anyone is down for a midweek round at any stage, please let me know. I played the comp at Maylands last week and FINALLY broke 80 for the first time ever. Supposed to keep a lid on things and play once a week but hopefully massage the boundaries on that
I am keen for some mid week golf, Thursdays and Fridays would be the most ideal. I played Maylands about 3 weeks ago and the wind was ridiculous, it was a struggle to keep the ball on the planet.
