Roll Call: Orlando, FL Golfers

Great track always been in phenomenal shape.
Worked there from 06-08 never played anywhere else in town just because of how good it was

1 and 18 are the only “tribute” holes, the rest just provide the single-mow height, pot bunkered, shared green complex illusion of links golf that Orlando can muster up.

Weekday rate is probably $100 right now.

I’m a fan of the New Course, it is a fun round.

We play the New Course every year as the final round of a Orlando golf trip. Always enjoy it. If you go expecting it to be true links it will disappoint. If you go expecting a fun course that tips it’s cap toward links golf you will enjoy it. Some well hidden pot bunkers.
Hole 2 has a great false front. By false front I mean that what appears to be the front is 30 yards short with a ravine between you and the flag.

We did the Shut there the first year of RACDG. Beautiful, challenging course. I was sorry they got rid of that third nine, but now there’s another whole 18, I guess.

Odd thought. Any courses in the area that have GolfBoards available to rent?

Eagle Creek was in pretty good condition today, but I endured through a 5.5hr round :rage: 2022 might be YOTPC.

That place is a golf factory, no surprise there. I can certainly attest to some painfully slow rounds over there.

Anybody been to Dubsdread or Shingle Creek lately? Saw some good times available both places and as short as dubs is I’m guessing it’s a good course to walk.

I played dubs recently and it’s in pretty good shape for the price. It’s a not a bad walk now that it’s cooling down. Haven’t played Shingle in a while so I can’t speak to that.

Central FL Roost, let’s get on it

Would love for us to get together on a zoom/teams call after thanksgiving one night to float ideas, whomever has interest in the captaincy, etc. Get signed up!

Orlando fam, I have a foursome at Dubsdread at 12:04 tomorrow. Only my Young Hitter and I are committed at this point, so I have room for two.

If you don’t mind playing with a young’n, please join us. And while he’s young, I’ll say this: he’s 7, has etiquette as good as most mid-cappers, and plays from 200 yds and in so he’s not slower than any typical mid-capper.

I’ll mention @bogeytax and @Big_RanDeer because I know they’re in the immediate area, but the first two to DM me and confirm are in.

Appreciate the invite! I’ll be in the Sarasota area Wed/Thurs. Hope you a great time and wonderful holiday, we’ll get out there soon!

I know there has to be more of us!

Nice I am at division 5 too but I don’t think I should since we are having people over. Did you hear that Coach Brent is going to North Shore? Curious to know what happened there. He just said he and Steve didn’t see eye to eye. He did all the legwork to get the OP36 program there to where it is, so he must be sad to leave it behind.

Anybody want to play Grand Cypress in the morning? They look to have several time available online. I could be persuaded to go elsewhere but just throwing this one out there. I kinda need to play in the morning and will go on and book alone eventually.

I wish I could join ya man!

Actually is something wrong with Grand Cypress that it has all these tee times available on Black Friday?

Mark your calendars FL Roost folks

8:30p Zoom on 12/1
