Let me know if you want to find your way up to Hillcrest 40 minutes north of Tulsa. I could most likely join you all on the 17th, but if you’re up here on a different day I can at least get you on at the guest rate. You’d also have no problem getting in more than 18 and it’s no extra charge if that’s your style. Vern gives good advice as well on Frank and Lola’s, wife and I are regulars there
Just catching up on the January Nest pod this morning. @sundaybag let us know when you decide to make the trek down to Boiling Springs and I will meet you out there. I’d bet that a few others @TheSupercell crew will make the trip out as well.

It’s on my list of courses to make it to this year - consider me interested.
A handful of us Plexers are interested as well…
@Hoppock Does the 13th or 14th work for you for Karsten Creek?
Yep! Either day is good for me. FYI - Tuesday’s the course is closed till noon, but would be a great day to eat lunch at the clubhouse and then go play.
Love it! Can’t wait.
Looks like the 14th is the play. The plan is to play Jimmy on Monday the 13th. Called them and they told me to call a week in advance and at 7am.
Tulsa!
I have three courses left on my list. Looks like we’ll be there March 15-18.
Tulsa CC
GC of Oklahoma
Patriot
@tjosu 17th at Hillcrest should be no problem.
Any help will be appreciated.
Sounds like an awesome golf trip. Checked the calendar and unfortunately can’t work in TCC during the stretch you are here but I’ll ask around to see if anyone else has some availability during that time.
In terms of food/drink in Tulsa, 7 local spots were just named James Beard semi-finalists and can confirm they are all very legitimately good (with only one really being a full on C-Suite experience). Happy to send any of those recs your way.
Thank you in advance for your effort on Tulsa CC. Just had a STROHS buddy get me on at Patriot.
We will take all suggestions for food and drinks.
The Trap Draw from before the Sr PGA (feat. @BunkiePerkins ) has great recommendations - he had a good Twitter thread back then, too, for an easy list.
I can sit down and make a list later - just passing through right now - but those are great references.
Yes, we very, very much are.

Hey everyone, just sending out some quick information and reminders:
@ABR will be putting out a poll soon with some tee gift preferences for the seasonlong survivor match as well as the Major. We may bump the registration to $50 for the May event to include a small gift or at least have some merch available for purchase. Trying to gauge interest on this but keep an eye out for that.
- We have 15 signed up for the season-long survivor match. The bracket will be posted on February 8th. It’s looking like we’re going to adjust the bracket from 32 to 16 which should extend the time we have to schedule matches since we’re essentially eliminating an entire round. Money needs to be submitted to the supercell venmo no later than 24 hours prior to your match. If the sign up fee isn’t received–it’ll result in a forfeit. Please do not make me chase money around.
Totals for some of the posted events below. Head over and sign up so we have an accurate number of tee times made. We will happily extend past 20 players for all of these events.
Reach out with any questions
-
March Stroke Play @ Lafortune: 13/20 spots filled
-
April Stroke Play @ Lincoln Park West: 8/20 spots filled
-
Battle Royale at Blackjack Ridge (Supercell Major): 13/40 spots filled (we are opening this to non-nest members so invite your friends)
In regard to the major, if you have someone that isn’t in the nest that would be interested, just have them send the registration money to the supercell venmo and follow up with me directly if you’re bringing guests. I will be happy to throw their info in the spreadsheet or you can.
Way down for this @HoselRocketeer !
Love it
Where’s the blackjack ridge info ?
Check post 1971 for info and link. We’ll have an info sheet for the major posted around end of February once everything has been finalized with the course. Tentative info is May 13th at Blackjack ridge with tee times starting around 10:30 (hopefully). Small tee gift to be included with the cost.
Going to assume here - but also use as a reminder for everyone to get this locked-in - we need to have official GHIN handicaps to compete, right?
