Still haven’t played at Shangri La so I love the sound of this. I’m hoping I’ll be in but would likely only be a day trip for the Saturday rounds as wife and I are currently about a month out from the little guy making his appearance. The golf game will be very rusty come June but sounds like a great event.

Looks like lots of lodging for airbnb’s currently available for that weekend for good prices so I’ll likely be jumping on one of those within the next 30 days.
On the google doc sheet, I broke the payment down into a “deposit” schedule to make the financial burden a little easier. You can sign up right now without a deposit but it won’t be locked in until the venmo hits. You can pay for it all at once as well if you’d prefer. Deposit refunds will be at the discretion of the Shangri La event staff so assume once you send money you’re fully committed because I can’t guarantee you’ll get it back and there will be no refunds after 6/1/24.

Is this open to people who aren’t members of the Refuge/Nest?

It’s open to anyone that wants to play with the understanding being that if a non-nest member wins then they’ll need to join the nest in order to claim their NIT spot. If they choose not to, it’ll go to next highest finisher with a nest membership. Hope that makes sense.

How many cellmates would be interested in taking a trip in May up to Sand Creek Station (north of Wichita, KS about 25 miles) to have a skirmish with our NLU associates from Kansas? Probably 36+ holes over the course of a Friday/Saturday or Saturday/sunday. No weekend penciled in yet… just trying to see how many would be in.
This will probably count as our May event if we can get 10-12 people #involved.
