Completely unrelated, but is “Poster Nutbag” a Phish reference?
Dad: Stymie, i have some… unsettling news. Your cat, he was… he was struck in the head with a golf ball.
What’s the rate out there?
Rack is $100.
Edit. I was happy paying it. Even after the round.
$100 is a steal for the course as is and cart/range balls are included with that.
@rdvern thanks for the open invite and your intel on the plans! And be sure to drop a line in here if you ever get up to OKC, Tulsa or elsewhere.
I like just about all the plans you stated but I’m not sure how I feel about the idea of filling in the pond protecting 17… obviously I have no say in this. But what do you think, as a member?
Guest fee is $60
Wow 60 is an awesome deal
You know where to find us
10:20? 60 bucks flat?
10:20 sharpish. I believe it’s 60+tax
Happy to help and be part of the conversation.
Regarding the pond - hard to imagine the course without it, but, personally Mr. Doak has my full confidence. V excited to see what comes.
@rdvern - You know more than I would on this subject, as I have yet to play Dornick (criminal, I know), but I would have to think one improvement that y’all are really going to like is the bunkering. Tom not only does a great job with his bunkering, among other things, but he also does an exemplary job at making sure they blend into surroundings and giving a natural look, and also resembling the original architects bunker style. Really looking forward to this!
Hope everyone is weathering the ice storm alright. Yesterday was a surprise but doesn’t seem like today has been as bad as it could have been and sounds like temps are going to start rising soon. We’re going on about 21 hours with no power and have a few limbs down but luckily nothing major. Those OGE linemen will be earning that overtime over the next few days.
“But what about the TREES?!?!” - Mr Player
If y’all really bored and need some local golf content, here is a quick edit of the @Mish and I playing Alt Shot at Stewy Nat aka Stewart National aka James Stewart. Our other buddies at the Stewy Nat Society bet we wouldn’t shoot 39.
Shepherd lasted until today before we lost power. One of our big trees lost some limbs but luckily no damage.
Ugh sorry to hear man. Hopefully you’re not down for too long and good the trees didn’t catch the house or anything. Our neighbor has a giant, super old Pecan tree that has a definite lean to it that is right above the line to our hose - really hoping it holds on through this. In the 4+ years we lived in Shepherd we never lost power once. It was kinda wild. Kinda wishing we had invested in a generator instead of a tankless water heater at the new house right now.
I’m thinking a generator is must at some point. Winter and spring is pretty much guaranteed to lose power.
My car looked like an ice cube this morning but aside from that all good here in Bville. Things are thawing out.
I had to laugh at my company yesterday giving ppl the option to work from home today. Globe-altering pandemic? No worries, we need you in the office. Threat of ice? OMG PANIC EVERYONE STAY HOME!!!
Welcome to Oklahoma. : )
In all seriousness, as bad as it’s been in OKC if it happened as forecast it would have been a disastrous storm.
