Ding, ding, ding @tydavis43 Buffalo Rock could be the winner.
Was actually out at Buffalo Rock this weekend. Itâs in the middle of a renovation so itâs not in the best condition, but still very playable. Just lots of sod that hasnât had a chance to take hold and some areas where trees were bulldozed. Greens are in fair shape, hole 13 has a temporary. Total bunker overhaul. Once spring rolls around and it warms the course should perk back up.
As far as location, Cushing is almost smack in the between OKC and TUL. Cimarron Trails in Perkins is another choice. Likely in better condition than Buffalo Rock but will also be busier on a nice day; same goes for Lakeside in Stillwater.
Dude letâs do it!
When we hit daylight savings time, Iâm gonna be down for some after work 9 holers boys. Iâm doing the Birdie Challenge this year at Battle Creek so if anybodyâs down, holler at ya boy!
I went to this meeting last night and volunteered to be a member if this committee. Not sure how they are going to choose who the two people from each district are but I think the majority of people that were there last night and the other meeting I went to at the end of last year were from District 2 that live around Page Belcher.
I was working with Colton on this yesterday a bit. We are still accepting new members, and currently have 81. The first 100 will be the founding members.
I meant to join after meeting Colt last fall. Ran into him at LaFortune last week and finally signed up.
Awesome, welcome!
Sounds like this upcoming event in May is going to be awesome. Hope to meet you there, if not sooner!
Much like every single Refuge event that I really want to go to, the May 30th date is one that I have other stuff going on. Daughters birthday party is that weekend so we will likely have a party that day and family in town.
Perhaps we can talk Colton into merging the two?
@PushCartGodfather fill me in. I must have missed something. The first 100 to join are founding members of what??
Hey Cody!
No worries, more than anything that is probably because I donât know how to use this website very well yet.
We were discussing the Perry Maxwell Society. The first 100 members are considered the founding members of the group.
Colton is the one who is behind it all, and this is all his idea. Iâve just been assisting with some organization things and the directory. If you have any questions on it, Iâd be happy to help!
Have you found an apartment/house in the downtown area yet? Happy to provide recommendations on apartment complexes and neighborhoods if needed.
I have not yet⊠I actually would love to hear some recommendations! I currently have some info and communication with Park Harvey Apartments in the business district. So far looks to be a nice setup. Decent location with gym, couple restaurants on site & a good coffee shop close by. But very open to any and all recommendations and new info!
Cool - will shoot you a DM.
I am interested, what is the event in May?
FiancĂ©e went with me on a tour and it looks like weâll be joining Hillcrest CC here before long. Guess I may need to read about this Perry Maxwell Society a little bit now too
Sorry for the delayed response here! Details will be sent out to members shortly on this. This yearâs event is 5/30 and will be in Bartlesville.
Last years event at Dornick Hills was fantastic, and it sounds as though this will be another great one. Perhaps a longer event this go around and with even more golf.
Had a great time yesterday at Kickingbird Golf Club with a lot of the guys in this thread. 3 full groups and lots of distinguished members of the Push Cart Mafia were in attendance!
Nice! I got the clearance to be out of my brace for my broken thumb today - hoping I get cleared to start swinging a golf club next week. Look forward to joining everyone for a round soon.
I played my third one-handed round of my life over the weekend at the Canyons at Blackjack Ridge in Sand Springs this weekend. They shut down the next day for a renovation and expect to be back open in August/September. Holy smokes what a crazy piece of property. Definitely recommend checking it out if you havenât played.
