Roll Call: Ohio (OATW adjacent) and localized ice cream debates (Part 1)

I imagine it’s gonna be tough for you to find clams on a pizza in Cincy.

Also, Jeni’s gooey butter cake might be the best ice cream I’ve ever had, but shelling out $8 for a pint at the local Kroger is a tooouuugggghhh sell.

What’s your go to pizza in the Cincinnati area?

Big fan of Taglio, St. Francis Apizza is a close 2nd place.

Taglio is a cool spot. Eventually I’ll get St Francis’ hours to align with my schedule when we are in town.

This is the correct answer.

Taglio Detroit style Pepperoni Extra Hot Honey is the best pizza in the city!

I’m a fan of Taglios, headed there tomorrow with the kids, but them charging $2 for each small package of a condiment makes it a tough sell to visit very often.

We’re bringing our own hot honey tomorrow!

I can almost throw a golf ball to Taglio from where I live so it’s a favorite we frequent often, but their prices have gotten pretty outrageous.

Trophy Pizza in Evendale and Factory 52 Campo Rosso in Fort Mitchell belong in the conversation too.

Dickman’s in Fort Wright has great bar pizza.

I havent tried St Francis yet. Il Gusto is a really good NY style thats very under the radar.

Damn you all

EDIT

Might as well get in on the action.

As @Twowaymiss can ascribe, CT pizza is outrageous. I’m definitely “Team Modern” but you kinda can’t miss up there.

Patiently waiting for the Trophy to open at Factory 52, will be a lot easier to get for me!

Yup. I wouldnt necessarily say its good enough to drive far out of your way to get, but its one of the best local places ive had and a pretty big hidden gem. Their margarita pizza is really good. Worth a try if youre nearby.

One of my earliest Refuge memories (I forget the thread or why I remember dumb shit like this) was when @methridge learned Arby’s has breakfast. Thought my guy’s world was changed.

FWIW, I had a breakfast crunchwrap this morning and I think it’s the current best fast food breakfast available.
