Yeah sorry haven’t checked in the thread in a while. @joecline41 and I played in the same league the last few years but are going to bail on it this year for a variety of reasons. That being said, we both have the same idea: organize a “league” of some sort with the NEOH guys in this thread.
No idea on specifics or anything yet, but I was thinking it would involve anywhere from like 4-8 rounds during the late spring and summer just at local courses. Get enough rounds for folks to establish a league handicap then maybe have a small (net) match play tourney.
No idea what kind of interest we’d have in this, but I’m thinking we might be able to get 6-8 guys to just get the ball rolling (and keep the planning side of things easy lol). I had so much fun tha one day a few summers ago playing manakiki and sleepy so I’m hoping to recreate that kind of experience (albeit on a smaller, more periodic scale
Edit: @quicktempo my initial thought was an 18 hole round on either Saturday or Sunday. Basically twice a month meet for 18. Of course I’m not married to this though. 9 after work is very doable as well

I don’t understand why groupme even exists. I hate facebook as well but damn let’s stop splintering. Having said that I have both because people keep splintering.

I personally like GroupMe because I can use the same account on multiple cell phones. Comes in handy with not being able to bring a personal phone into work.

I absolutely love this idea and think we can fold this in with the Ohio roost. My thought is we split the roost into two divisions: Northeast and Southwest. Those in the middle can decide if they identify more with orange or orange. We can set up some season long competitions and have the winners compete against each other at some sort of top tier club cough @anon81973724 cough. My overall thought for the roost is everyone can participate as much or as little as they want, but it can be a central organization tool for Ohio guys to meet up and play a bunch of golf.

I think one of the biggest components is having a once every month or six weeks “big” meetup. Maybe three next summer up and down 71?
