Really fun course, hosts the largest local qualifier for the US Open each year and guys eject there every year. I think +1 got out this year!
It’s a hard course from the tips.
I have not played Maketewah, but a good friend told me a story about how he once was paired in the US Open local qualifier with JB Holmes. They both were still in college. My buddy, who played for Miami University, is a long hitter in his own right, but he knew he was in a different league when JB Holmes stepped up and drove it over the 1st green.

I knew a few guys that played for Miami but not him…
We have a Refugee foursome planned for August 24th at Denison. A space just opened up, so if you’re interested in teeing it off at 7:40 am that Saturday with three fellow refugees, DM me for the spot. First come first served.

Had an opportunity to play Catawba Island Club this week, highly recommend if you’re in the Catawba Island area. Very nice track with some really fun holes.

The only thing I’ve played over there is the golf course on Put In Bay. Strangely enough the only place on the island you couldn’t take a golf cart

My family has a membership at CIC. You’re right, it’s a really fun place to play. The greens weren’t in the best of shape when we were there a few weeks ago but when they’re running - Yikes! They host a US Open Local there every year and when the cold wind blows off the lake in May, it’s a brute.
Ohio people, I have two extra tickets to the FC Cincinnati vs. Columbus “hell is real” derby match this coming Sunday at 6:00 pm At Nippert in Cincinnati. Anyone interested? Happy to give them if you know you can make it.
