I just drove 3 hours to Denison last weekend, so a 4 hour drive is just as much in play.

Taking the kid with me to maumee bay this afternoon. Looking forward to it. If anyone has a wild hair, you’re more than welcome to join up. Although no one lives in Toledo, but why would they haha

How is that course? Worth a trip from Cleveland?

It was pretty sweet honestly. I’d love to go back and actually play the course and be able to focus but condities were good and I was able to whip around in 1:30. It would have been wayyyyy worse if the foursome didn’t let me get through but it was smooth sailing after that.

If you dig the “links” style courses it’s worth the drive. Good architecture and can’t wait to get back.

Radar looked like it was going to miss. So I left at 7:30 to tee off at 8:20. They took my money and turned on the faucet!

I was going to play Boulder Creek and we made the call at 5:30 to cancel. Looking like it was the right call as it was pouring at 10am too.

Overheard at Seneca as I was unloading my cart. Speaking to the man that was spraying down the returned cart, a fellow golfer said “I don’t know why the greens at Sleepy Hollow are so bad. Yours were great but Sleepy’s were…” I couldn’t make out what finished that sentence because my mind was blown away trying to process the first part. Am I missing something? Did something happen over at Sleepy Hollow that managed to ruin 18 greens at the same time?

Look, Seneca’s greens aren’t bad. And I’ve only been to Sleepy once. But I don’t think there is even a comparison. Is it because it’s so crowded? I know people don’t fix their ball marks but that’s an easy remedy if you have a few in your line. I’m blown away right now. I seriously can’t comprehend what was said

Sleepy’s greens are some of the best public greens in the state imo

I know they were money when we played there the other weekend. People will bitch about everything though. That guy probably played like shit and blamed it on the greens or something

I went a little north and west from there. Right in between the bands that came through

i played sleepy last night. greens were fine.

Any chance you noticed anything about their aerification schedule while you were there? Can’t find the schedule anywhere on the parks website.

I didn’t notice anything posted. But from what Ive seen posted elsewhere is that Big Met is already done and Sleepy Hollow was doing theirs today. Shawnee has been completed already as well. I would guess that Seneca and Manakiki will be completed soon as well
