Roll Call: Ohio (OATW adjacent) 2025 Major now official

No water for the two weeks leading up to the event?

Anyone in the Columbus area know of any weeknight leagues in the Columbus area that you are apart of or know of? A buddy and I are looking to join one or two.

I just got an email from the city courses that Champions has a 6 week 9-hole weeknight league that’s $400/ 2 person team. Looks like you can just sign up with them. Other courses (Kemper especially) leave it up to the particular leagues, so not sure if you could sign up without being ā€œinvited.ā€

I despise Champions. I think the course sucks.

I could not agree more. I do think some tree removal would make a huge difference but I would not want to play that course on a weekly basis.

Wow, I’ve actually played 4 of those

MERCH ORDER UPDATE, AND OATW/TITLEIST HAT IN THE WORKS:

We still need to get ten items added to the H&B order to hit the minimum quantity - if you are particular about a certain style that is not on the order form, shoot me a message as we can likely get you what you want. I wish the prices were a little better on these items, but I don’t have any ā€˜Ins’ with H&B like some other roosts, so this is their standard group-order discount.

OATW/Titleist Tour Performance Caps in the works! I do not have a mock-up for this one yet, but: picture the standard adjustable white Tour Performance cap, script Titleist logo on the front in red with navy outline, the Roost state logo over the left ear and the license plate logo over the right ear - I thought it’d be fun to use both logos for this one.
Pricing ends up being ~$30 plus shipping - minimum is 24 pieces. I’ve added a column to the existing order form for these now. (If someone with more Photoshop skills than I have wants to help me create a mock-up for the order form, I’d greatly appreciate it!)

Hitting up Village Idiot pizza in Maumee tonight. Any can’t miss options?

As the weather is awful and we are all dreaming of golf season, keep an eye out for the next week for the OATW’s favorite (and only) Tuesday event.

Their pizza is a great. If you have time and want an after dinner dessert drink, go to my friends meadery that’s like ten minutes away called Four Fires

Some are saying it’s the best Tuesday event on the entire refuge. As many will co-sign, anyone that hasn’t taken advantage of this simply must. Chad is a great host and the staff at Springfield were some of the most welcoming I’ve encountered at a private club. 10/10 day.

Supreme pizza (no olives) was awesome. Pizza of the month was just as good. If I didn’t have a tournament in the morning, would have stayed and drank many beers and listened to the band. NEO peeps need to get there ASAP

I think I’ve said it here a few times, but it is the most enjoyable 4-hour dick kicking in the world.

This is the first real winter we’ve had in Cincy in a long time. Feel like we will be playing sim golf until April right now.

Watching the Tour play out West has been tough. Quite different than looking out my window here. Need to believe we will turn the corner temperature wise heading into March. My bar for playable conditions here in Cincinnati is incredibly low…chomping at the bit to get the 2025 season started!

Haven’t played since the Cincy Avon event in September. I’m not enjoying it.

Even in NW Ohio, it’s the first ā€œrealā€ winter we’ve had in several years. I’m really hoping that means the shitty spring we’ve had the last few years won’t be a thing this year
