Played Pinehurst alt shot for the first time a couple years ago, big fan of that. A little more forgiving as a mid handicap.

Im probably biased but I think Rhinegeist makes the best IPA in Ohio. Not a fan of the brewery at all, although the rooftop bar there is good.

  1. Preferred during round/ after round beverage? During is Busch Light, high noon, or water with half sugar free lemon lime liquid IV, and half yuzu pineapple energy liquid IV. After a round I like a good ipa.
  2. Alt shot - the best golf game or the best game full stop? The best until you hit it in the water on the first tee, or duff a chip on the last hole of a tied match…
  3. Number of minutes it is acceptable to drive surrounded by farmland to get to the golf course? A bunch? Much rather drive a long way in the country than a little shorter distance in the city
  4. Average number of four letter words per round directed at yourself? So so so many
  5. Average number of four letter words per round directed at the golf course? Probably a bakers dozen or so
  6. What did you think this year’s Nest gift was? (I have to be honest it took me about 4 seconds to figure it out) a shithead spoiled it in the bartertown thread before I got mine
  7. Browns, Bengals, or Stillers? (I could not care less but I think many of you would) formerly Browns, now agnostic
  8. Favorite river? (I don’t know why) Lazy
  9. Soda or pop? Both
  10. Have you ever gotten drunk in a cornfield? Other agriculture locations acceptable as is “woods” many fields, many woods
  11. Why do we have 8 months of the worst weather but 4 months of the best? Because you touch yourself at night
  12. Best Ohio beer? If we’re talking one made all year, it’s one of CBC IPA, Jackie O’s who cooks for you?, or Wolf’s Ridge Daybreak. If we’re talking best beer ever made in Ohio, it’s Anxiousness & Chaos by Jackie O’s, or 3-2-1 Dire Wolf from wolf’s Ridge (which came out the day I proposed to my wife at the brewery)

  10. Cornfield no. Woods a bunch.
  11. Because we live in a part of the world where we’re free from natural disaster and climate change. In 100 years Ohio will be a major metropolis. The seasonal depression is hitting hard this year. I need to play golf outside and feel the air asap.

Best Ohio beer - Big fan of Landgrant Oh Sure

It’s Saturday October 20th, and 40° when you tee off in sensible layers. You’ve happened into a still bluebird morning 7:50 tee time first off at Sleepy, you’re sweeping dew in a National Park, walking for $40 or whatever.

You mention how it’s amazing they cut the trees on 14 because that’s not park owned land and it better reflects the original design, the group is awed. (They all saw your sensible par on 2 and respect you)

By the end of the round you’re down to a polo at 60° and having a patio beer watching college football. That’s unbeatable shit.

I’ll bite even though I had to move out of Ohio because of @jgolf1 and his tyrannical Roost policies

1 - water, transfusion, high noon, beer after
2 - the best golf game especially when @PlumbBobMillionaire and I are vibing and had it well under par at Findlay
3 - I come from the boonies so there is no limit to what I will drive to get to good golf
4 - This is going to be quite high since my name has four letters and it is often paired with another four letter word, but getting better
5 - getting fewer and fewer, unless it’s holes 15-17 at Denison, in which case, many
6 - had to read side panel to figure it out, 15 seconds
7 - Bears, sell the team
8 - Mississippi
9 - pop
10 - yes
11 - I always get asked about what I do during the winter when it comes to golf and how bored I must be and honestly, I don’t hate putting the clubs up for a few months, I think it helps my love of the game and appreciation of it to not be able to play. Then, start the itch back up again when the Hawaii and West Coast swings (#OpeningDrive) show up on Tour.
