Anyone in here know anything about Highland CC in Fayetteville? Seems like the only game worthwhile in town but finding it hard to get a bead on what the story is over there. Looks nice from the outside in. For being on the doorstep of the Sandhills there’s not a lot going on in the immediate vicinity here. Not that I’m getting out that much these days with a 3 year old and another on the way but miss the days of bringing the stroller out to my old club before moving here.
No idea about Highland CC in Fayetteville.
But when you want to know anything about Hyland in Southern Pines, I’m your man.

Hey everyone, I just joined The Nest after being a NLU fan since 2017/2108. I’m in the High Point/Winston Salem area and play at Willow Creek in HP. Ready to get the season underway but the weather is making it look more like a March start to come out of hibernation.

Random ?. Is anyone in here local to chapel hill? As weird as it sounds the UNC course was basically the highlight of my travels last year and I loved every second of it. However the pro shop was closed and I never got the chance to get any merch. Was hoping to snag a hat or flag (without the unc logo, I have no affiliation) and was curious if they had anything with the pine cone logo instead. Was going to try this route before just calling to see if the proshop kid would ship me something lol. Will compensate your time!

Hello ladies and gents, I am moving out to the Winston-Salem area in April and I wanted to connect with the roosts in the area. I assume Queen City Hives plays predominantly in/around Charlotte but where does First Flight call home? Looking forward to playing in some roost events this year and playing in any local games in the triad area that will have me.

There are a few guys in the WS area that are part of FF but there is overlap. Pick one to ‘compete’ in but feel free to play with guys from both groups. I was FF but moved near Hickory and now play with QCH. I love playing with and hosting guys from both groups.

I have a conference in April in Charlotte. Staying at the Westin. I needed some suggestions for places to take clients for a round. Thanks !!
So you’ll find very quickly that public golf inside the city limits is not the best. Charlotte proper in and around Uptown is all private clubs. But within 30 minute drive in most directions you’ll find some solid courses.
My first thoughts would be:
- Rocky River - Near the speedway and actually several holes run adjacent to the dragway. Can often hear cars running tests at the speedway from the course.
- Skybrook
- Highland Creek
- Springfield
- Carolina Lakes
- Stonebridge
- Monroe Country Club
