He might be doing this because he thinks the Deep State is buried under the course.
In all seriousness, it’s going to be good for the club. Really fun course.

Would it potentially get the the Pinehurst restoration treatment with the reintro of more native area? I thought it had a good amount anyway and had Pinehurst vibes but I also rarely get to play that type of golf. From where I’m standing it didn’t even particularly need it but I imagine this could really take it over the top.
I work in Kernersville and play all around the Triad. Hope to meet up some time.
Now that we’re official, google sheet to join The Queen’s Roost here…
I know South End isn’t a city, but I’m loyal to my area
Let’s get the CLC Roost Roster going!!!
Can bees/hornets roost? If so that opens up a ton of queen-related logos
Played Southern Pines today. Hadn’t played it since the renovation and I was honestly blown away. Highly recommend. We’ll be back.
A little cross posting for visibility here, CLC matchplay is a ton of fun, hop on in and #getinvolved. Let me know if you have any questions.
In what may be the first Inter-Roost transfer, I will be leaving Big Plex when the wife and I move to Asheville later this month.
I’m assuming Queens Roost is the place to go?
We spent the last three and a half years in DFW, but spent 7 years in CLT before that.
Hell yes and welcome aboard. When are you moving?
Edit: I’m an idiot…later this month it is!
Things are moving quickly, we’ll be there in a few weeks.
Posting here again for those that want to join.

Howdy all,
I am making the move from Wilmington to Raleigh in a couple months. Excited but dreading leaving my beloved Wilmington muni.
Looking for recommendations on good, cheap and walkable golf around the RDU area. In my visits there I’ve been underwhelmed with the affordable golf options.
Cheers. Would love to meet and play with anyone once I move up! Happy New Year
Pine Hollow in Clayton - hands down the best public course in the area unless you drive to Southern Pines or Pinehurst. Very walkable.
River Ridge also good but not the easiest place to walk.
@Double_Bogey_Dave took me out to Hillandale and I thought the vibe was pretty cool and it was an easy walk.
Pine Hollow is the run away answer. Some other decent options, but for price and walkability it is the best. Would be glad to get out there with you when you move up this way! And if you need anything else just ask.
What’s up everyone! I recently quit my gig and am looking to increase the golf I play through the month of January. I have an annual pass to Hallandale in Durham but am willing to go just about anywhere in the triangle/pinehurst area. Let me know if you want to link up!
