Happy to oblige. This may/may not shock you, but I’ve made several similar calls in the past and have no qualms with escalating certain elements of a certain tournament (and de-escalating others) as needed.
And THAT is what I’m talking about folks!
email has been sent asking for a contact in marketing at corporate…i will follow up as soon as i hear back from him

Ok, I just got a name from a buddy of mine who used to work as a regional director. I’ll try that first and let you know what happens. Thanks!

“based on our community of reviewers”
Hahaha. Like I give a shit what the Golfpass reviewers think. Just tell me if the greens are in good shape or not.
5 star reviews are handed out like covid vaccines in my world
LOL @ The Pointe being top 3 public in the state of NC
I hope my wife does not see this list and think she should surprise me with a round at Talamore instead of #2.
Have 2 spots open for Wilmington Muni this Saturday if anyone is interested.
“Pace is great, and greens are rolling. Come on out!”
i played the pointe years ago while in the OBX and had a great time, but yeah, its not close to being in the top 50 public courses in NC
Taking a trip from Oregon in April and will be going back and forth between VA and SC. Will be there about 12 days and I’m looking to play 3 or 4 times. What’s the place I can play and need to play in NC if I get a chance?
To many places to list… what will your route be thru NC?
The trip be bouncing from Leesburg to Columbia to Virginia beach so I’ll have some options I think. I don’t know the routes super well as I haven’t mapped it all out yet.
From those points in VA, it’ll be pretty easy to make the Pinehurst area a stop on the way to and from Columbia. It’s the obvious answer. There’s plenty of other golf around the state but if you’re looking for “need to play if you have the chance,” Pinehurst area is it.
In addition to Pinehurst (best option), there are some good options in Greensboro (Bryan Park), Winston Salem (Tanglewood Championship course), Charlotte area (Monroe, Mooresville).
On your way to Virginia Beach Benevenue in Rocky Mount and Scotch Hall near Edenton.
If you happen to go on 81 to Columbia from Leesburg which I would recommend, used to do it all during college from Reston you can check out schoolhouse 9. obviously this doesn’t make sense if you’re doing Newport news after Leesburg but if you’re doing Newport news on the way back from Columbia then you can do 81 down and 95 back up
Just to clarify, I-81 splits near the border of North Carolina and Virginia. I-81 goes to Tennessee and West Virginia while I-77 goes through Charlotte to Columbia.
