Trust me, I can hit it allover the place with the best of them
You know Iāll try and get out as much as I can. Iām playing Golden Bear Friday.
Only way Iām coming to Monroe is if you take me to get some good food, I know there has to be some good stuff up there! @ltrisler I suppose Iāll head north for golf as well.
Seems we are simpatico on the food. We got some jamb up spots around here that Iād gladly be a Sherpa for!
Renovation starts in January, but we are already prepping for it. So, definitely not pristine right now. Should be much better once Brian Silva is done with it.
That is phenomenal. Silva is so good. Iāve played Black Creek Club and his comments on it was a Raynor course on steroids. Some of the holes looked like they had been there for 100 years. Excuse me if weāve discussed this before, but are you a member there?
Man is so dialed in December. Just wait for March.
Also, not sure if any of you fellas do the golfers journal but there was an awesome piece in there about Joseph Bartholomew.
Just wait till this weekend Iāll shoot 85-89
Let me know a good time of the year to drive to Monroe. New job gives PTO out the ass so I can make a three day weekend out of it.
I am indeed. Which Golferās Journal? I havenāt seen that one, but would love to read it.
Oh buddy we like to hear that! You guys are welcome anytime, I can always plan around stuff if its far enough in advance. If you can do at least a couple days, we will play Bayou Desiard and then drive up to El dorado the next day for Mystic Creek. Not sure if youāve played either but Mystic Creek is ejection city.
Oh man, I am dying to get down there after the reno and play Metairie. We played at lookout mountain and I am hooked on Raynor designs. One of our assistant pros used to be a member down there but now they are at NOCC. And as far as the Golferās Journal, Its in the newest issue for Winter 2020!
Question for you fine folks who are in the greater New Orleans areaā¦
A buddy of mine is heading there for work soon and I was telling him he absolutely has to try one of my favourite restaurants from when I was there on my honeymoon.
Google tells me that Coopās Place on Decatur street is temporarily closed. Is that accurate?
If it is, its a travesty. So friggin good.
Used to work for a company that has a warehouse on the wharf less than a mile from there. Iāll give a ring over there and see if it is still open. A few of the managers and I used to go there a couple times a month.
CCāing @LivingLagunaLoca for top tier recommendations.
It was hands down mine and my wifeās favourite spot that we ate at. Murielās was also fantastic, but I primarily feasted on the little hole in the walls that offered any and every kind of poā boy possible.
Appreciate it man!
I canāt wait to get back to New Orleans, and this time play some golf.
My buddy serves there. I can ask him to see what the current Coopās situation is.
Yaāll are the best.
Itās closed due to COVID.
