Just signed up for the event and would like to join the Roost if you could share the link/instructions. Thanks!
I’ll shoot you the link in a DM (since it expires after so long), but anyone can join the Roost simply by asking for the Discord link!
Once you get into the Discord, you’ll be prompted to fill out a google sheet, just so we know necessary info to get you hooked up on Unknown Golf, our official event and scoring platform.
This is sick!
Good Luck getting on it when it opens… C Suite may have a shot, but heard through the grapevine it’s gonna be ultra exclusive club!
Hit me with that link too. Been meaning to join. Now seems like as good a time as any
Can I get the discord link?
So, I didn’t realize I’d joined the Nest until I got the 2023 gift, which was cool. Would love to get involved in the Nashville Roost. Can I get the discord link?
Good. Nashville has too many good public tracks and too few private ones as is…… sigh
Yep. I’m a member at Greystone. The course has new owners who’ve invested in new carts and are working on serious green maintenance and other stuff on the course. I think the new work, plus the fact they saw what everyone else was charging led to higher prices.
I have zero excitement, they might as well be building it on Mars
DM sent, and you’ve been added to the HCC group here on the refuge welcome in! Greystone has been the site of some epic matches in the High Cotton Classic
This is sarcasm, yes?
Ha! Assumed that was a given. We’re overrun with private clubs. Last thing we need is another Troubadour that I can only see on YouTube…
You can also play Troubadour on Trackman so…there’s that.
It is a bummer this will be private. I am in the camp that I don’t even think private golf courses should be “ranked” or host tournaments. You want to be private? Cool, be PRIVATE then. I say this while knowing that some of the best major venues (including of course Augusta National) are private. But if most people can’t play them, why “rank” them? So members at Super Exclusive Golf Club A can measure themselves against members at Super Exclusive Golf Club B? I’m just lashing out here.
Preach! (As I google image Cypress…) It really stands out in markets like Nashville where you can’t get on at like a dozen private clubs, which jams up the tee times everywhere else.
Worth it if you get to take your photo with Jake Owen and Darius Rucker though, right?? Like your own personal PB pro am.
This one stings more for me because Rob and Tad feel a bit like “our guys” and I’m sure many people on here were spreading the Sweetens gospel before it really got massive. To have King-Collins building a course 15 minutes from me and knowing I will never, ever play it… that sucks. And it doesn’t help that there’s way more private courses around here that I haven’t played than ones I have.
Soooo… (possibly) Breaking News out of a course we can actually all play…
Sources say Twelve Stones Golf Club, home of last year’s High Cotton Cup, has begun a series of projects that will include being closed for this summer while they put in new greens, new tee boxes, and more. All this after they finish removing approx. 150 trees, which is happening at present
This could be a huge win for Nashville golf, if it didn’t mean the inevitable price gouge and possible lean towards turning private that is sure to follow. Twelve Stones was my first job in golf, so I may be more fond of its place in the Nashville golf scene than others, but I would love to see it simply make the necessary improvement and remain relatively affordable and accessible
Can they start by installing a halfway decent putting green that isn’t on the side of a hill? In fairness I suppose it prepares you for the rest of your round taking place on the side of a hill.
