I’m going to see what the courses come back with. If we can get a block of times at a reasonable rate for a big group of us, awesome. We can all get out and play without any of this NIT stuff hanging over the top. That’s the purpose of this thing anyway…to play golf with fellow refugees and build that community. Anyone angling for a NIT slot has lots of other options, including a three hour drive to Milwaukee.
We show that the MN/ND contingent will show up in force for a simple gathering, then maybe the Kill House boys take notice for 2021 and do right by us.
Maybe it’s because I’m not in the nest and only have a fuzzy idea what the NIT even is, but what’s with all this drama? Why does this even have to be a “big event”? Can’t we all just get together, play a round and have a few beers afterward? That’s what I thought I was signing up for anyway…
Pretty sure that’s what everyone is in for. The NIT came about because certain events popped up in the aftermath of the Nest tourney announcement last week. While this popped up as well, it was simply an East/West get together for MN. We flipped it into a draft yesterday because a lot of people seemed to be interested.
Long story short, no one here is looking to make this into anything bigger. If folks prefer to simply look for a weekend round once the summer rolls around, that’s cool too. Personally, I just jumped in because it seemed like we could use someone to try and find a course to base this around. I’m fine either way guys.
Gonna throw another vote out there for Stoneridge. I was a member for a season and love that place. First place I ever shot under (weird flex, I know).
Might be cool to make this thing two days and keep it kind of East-West. Stoneridge day 1, Baker day 2?!
@Lazstradamus@BaxterMSP@Tron@djpie@MerchCzar I just wanna go on record that my #snubbed comment was tongue firmly in cheek and I assumed people would realize that based on the fact that it’ll be somewhat difficult to distribute NIT invites to anyone involved in a team match play event. All respect
