Downside is it’s a 2 day event, so it doesn’t attract a big field.
Oh I believe that. Looks hard as hell. The good thing is that the Players is match play, so I can take a snowman whenever I want and not have it affect me too much
I’ve played Giants Ridge and Fortune Bay multiple times and played Greywalls at Marquette once. Greywalls has a similar “up north” feel to the other courses but definitely felt more rugged. Lots of elevation changes. The greens were fast when I played (probably 5-10 years ago) but the fairways weren’t nearly as pristine as the Minnesota courses. The Quarry is my favorite of all those courses. Playing Greywalls as part of the Casino package with Sweetgrass is one of the better deals you will get and that course was mint condition right around the time the Symetra tour was there.
Is sweetgrass a nice course? I’ve certainly heard of it before
Ya I thought it was a very nice course but only played once back in 2012. Much more of an open “links style” course with water and fescue which made it a nice combo with Greywalls. I would like to get back there and try the new course Sage Run and also play Timberstone. I’ve always lived in the Twin Cities or Western Wisconsin so a little bit of a hike or I would definitely have gone back to play those courses.
Driver epic flash.
3&4 iron Mizuno MX 25
Taylormade burner (might as well use it for firewood never use it)
5-W Ping I25
52 & 56 Ping Glide
Toulon Atlanta
Not pictured: Taylormade UDI 790 2 Iron (in the car from my session on the Sim)
Was going for OutKast Atliens since the putter is the Atlanta model.
And when I’m on the microphone you best to wear your sweater
Cause I’m cooler than a polar bear’s toenails
I have to admit, once I looked at the picture again I realized it said toenails not toes… I blew it.
The cover is sick and that makes it even cooler.
@Taylorda Let me know how the 2i goes. I went and hit my buddies in a sim and struggled a bit but damn when you hit it well… so good
It can’t be worse then my non-existent driver last season so will do. We can get out to Braemer sometime this month and you can swing it a bit.
I’m down! The 2i is on my radar but it’s somewhat been replaced by the idea of buying a new putter. Winter is the worst for the mental equipment tinkering.
People out here hitting 2i while DJ is putting a hybrid into the bag. 2020 going to be a wild year!
It’s going to be…
strong text
Never said I could hit it…
Oh, no one ever said that they cared about that. Gotta leave it in the bag just to impose alpha status on the first tee
@BaxterMSP remember my first tee shot at southview…alpha amirite?
In November I was up at the family cabin doing some winter prep with my Dad and I found my Grandpas 2i and I felt like I got arthritis just looking at it. Wild how much equipment has changed.
The “pace-maker”, because looking at that butter knife top line is enough to give anyone an arrhythmia at address
Trying hold in my laughter and not wake my entire house @bignanski
