Roll Call: Minnesota Part 2 - SIM MEETUP post 9471

I am sure it’s a fine establishment, I have frequented it one time and was subsequently tossed out. 99% chance it had nothing to do with the American Legion but maybe how we showed up in the first place, who can say? I sure can’t. It is due to this that it did not make the list.

I’ve been known to dabble with the Cardboard Crack, glad to have this list for the back pocket.

@bwills oh hell yeah, looking forward to that! Gotta further fine tune our match play death squad after our resounding win at Southern Hills.

I’ve been a semi-frequent visitor to the DT Hopkins area over the last year, which heavily influenced my decision to look to move there. Love LTD, 819 is fire, i’ve heard another new brewery called Bear Cave is going in on mainstreet as well. Haven’t been yet, but i’ve heard Cam Rahn Bay is dope Vietnamese.

Deer Run over Chaska TC? Did they renovate DR?

I never said my opinions were good. I haven’t played either of them in 5 or 6 years but I remember enjoying deer run more.

Any preference between Pioneer Creek and Wild Marsh? Two courses that are out there and in similar areas for people making the trek

Probably pioneer just for the conditions there. Wild marsh has got a bunch of forced carries and can be really tough, but it’s still really fun.

With the other courses mentioned earlier my list would be

Rush
Pioneer
Fox Hollow
Legends Club
Baker
Wild Marsh
Deer Run
Braemar
Chaska
Willingers
Shamrock in December
Shamrock in July
Edinburgh

Have not gotten to the wilds or meadows yet

My beloved Baker falling to 5 is a #toughscene, but the new cart paths have significantly diminished the experience. Get rid of those paths, make it walking only, and let’s open up that tee sheet!

I need to get back there. Couple holes on the back soured me. Looove the front nine

The fact that we have gotten this far and no one has mentioned The Gold Nugget Tavern to our guy @TBuhr33 thats a damn travesty.

It may be just outside of Hopkins but it sure is good

I miss living In the GL neighborhood

@Jsondergaard that GL practice facility is where I would go when i first started getting interest in golf. By the time we moved, the place was absolutely insane. Crawling with people and divot patterns on the range that would make you want to hug your loved ones close for fear of the end of the world.

Loved the putting and chipping area though

Legends would top my personal list, and Fox Hollow would not be in the top 5, but otherwise very nice :ok_hand:t4:

The golden nugget is the absolute best, hands down will agree, it’s location compared to DT Hopkins did not register in my head.

Anyone played Island View? I know it exists but that’s about it

Legends over Rush?! I know we’re partners next Saturday at the sim, but them there’s fighting words!

A couple others to add to the list. Mainly throwing them out bc I’d like to see them compared to Edinburgh:

Dahlgreen
Timber Creek

Yes-very fun-conditions can vary and its a bit pricey for what you get. Proximity to the lovely town of Waconia and all that has to offer is a huge plus.

I am willing to switch my ranking temporarily in the name of team solidarity…

I let my feelings be known about Legends earlier this year after a round. Cliff notes version. It sucks.

@Battisstatus with the addition of @bobs219, some would say the people’s champ, can we get a lineup of the teams for our alt shot extravaganza next weekend?
