Just my opinion but given that the roost is going to be 95% minnesotans, I bet the five-ish people that aren’t from MN would be okay if the Roost team was MN themed.

That’s fair, but being The North Star State and having an NHL team called the North Stars is what comes to my mind. I love that name but I don’t want any out-of-staters to feel unwelcome or less important. Maybe I’m making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Same reasoning behind “North Coast United” in lieu of “North Star United”, which is brilliant
Let’s just do this.
Compass Logo with Star and crossed golf clubs and/or axe if we want to play with the lumberjack theme as well.
Our event is the North Star Shootout carrying over that same name to the Roost name should be a no brainer.
Plus the North Stars as a MN sports team haven’t existed for the entirety of @Waldorf98’s life so I’m not sure there is much of a tie there anymore.

Plus we’re “Uniting” all of the North, beyond just state lines.
Actually, that does carry some reference to why “united” is used in reference to soccer team names.
was hoping to overhear conversations from other roosts about how they lost to the “Loon Squad” but can see how a more professional sounding name might look on merch, whathaveyou…
