This afternoon after many weeks of going back and forth about busy life’s for both of us, Mister @Obrienchauncey1 and myself were able to get our Elite 8 pillow fight match in. Neither one of us played great and we were both playing pretty badly to be completely honest. I was able to close him out on 14, 5&4. We headed in after 14 as it was a pretty slow round. Yes, shrink the game;)

Once again, internet friends from here are pretty awesome and great to walk and chat and get to know someone. Chauncey was a great hang and would do it again!

Anyone else know a good way to explain how we play golf with people we met on a message board and not sound cringy about it? Thanks in advance!

Note to all of Joe’s future competitors: Don’t schedule the match before or during a gopher football game, he’ll end the match ASAP so he can get home in time for kick off. (speaking from experience)

Overall a great evening with some poor display of athleticism.

Turns out that @TommyBuns was our random 4th today out at Stillwater CC for the Lyle Cran practice round. Good hang and can hit some bombs off of the tee. I on the other hand played my worst 9 of the year on the front and pieced together a back 9 with some of the worst short game he’s probably seen in a while.

Good luck this weekend! Maybe we’ll meet in the bracket play.

Getting paired with @StillWong and his crew ended up being best case scenario for me. Thank you for guiding me around a course I’ve never played before. @StillWong is a confirmed good hang and is saving his best for the weekend!

For all the match play junkies out there, this is a can’t miss tournament for next year!

Is there anyone braving the heat and slow holiday play tomorrow? I’m interested to hear if anything crazy happens out there, holidays always brings out the crazies.

If the holiday weekend isn’t quite long enough, I’ve booked a twosome with a friend of mine at Royal Club at 10:30a for Tuesday. 2 spots open - feel free to join up! I didn’t book the whole foursome, so just go their booking site and book 1 or 2 spots yourself and let me know - tee sheet is pretty open so far.

People are saying Royal Club #3 gives some serious Pacific Dunes #6 vibes…
