Iā€™ve been pretty MIA here for a while. Apologies. However I return with an invitation - @QGorski and I have an opening at Midland next Sunday at 2:10. If anyoneā€™s interested in checking it out post reno, shoot me a DM.

Thanks for the suggestions on where to stop in Iowa to play. We are going to play Waveland Sunday afternoon and Honey Creek Monday morning on the way home

Still canā€™t believe VanArragon was -5 in the first two rounds on hole 1 at that place

Drove by The Loop at Chaska yesterday. Place looks like it is going to be super fun. Wish I could have grown up playing it. Hopefully you can stumble into some cold beers there too whenever it opens.

He went albatross/eagle on 1?!

So glad you askedā€¦read this before having any coffee and about broke my brain trying to figure out how someone aced this hole and followed it with an eagle

Yepā€¦ he did make a par on the 3rd day though so he still kind of stinks

You canā€™t shoot -23 without a few eagles

Insaneā€¦but maybe a 470 yard downhill par 5 with absolutely zero hazards/risk should play as a par 4 in high level events?

I had no idea that was a par 5 lol

I guess what I thought was a comfy bogey was in reality a comfy par - what a pleasant surprise

If I had to guess, in a past life, mustā€™ve been a Par 4.

Two years ago I played with a gentlemen who grew up playing Hiawatha (in the 50s and 60s? He was fairly old) and he told me the first hole out there used to be a Par 4 and everyone was pissed they were making bogey on the first so they arbitrarily just changed it to a Par 5
