Roll Call: Minnesota Part 2 - SIM MEETUP post 9471

For sure. I live a block away from there. Need to make it happen.

We bumped into Chef Gavin while lost walking from the Spoon and Stable valet to Demi and it was then fun to see him doing his rounds later in the night.

I found Demi so much enjoyable than any meal I’ve had at Travail.

@JMK took me down handily 4&2 at Cannon Golf Club this morning. It was an absolutely perfect day to watch Joe shoot a sublime 74 including two lost balls on a course he had never played before. Can’t tell you how unnerving it is to watch your opponent knock down the flag on seemingly every approach shot!

A great morning to play some golf with you sir! Way, way better than spending 9 hours at Valleyfair like I did the day before. I was like a new puppy getting let out of the kennel. Just happy to be alive!

Love that course! Hole 3? the one by the river with a tight chute is a sneaky great hole.
10 is also a gem.

So are weekends different than weekdays for Keller? I’m hoping to get a time in a Thursday for a friend who is in town, but am hoping to avoid waking up on a Thursday in the middle of the night the week before.

I got up last Thursday at midnight for this week and there was nothing posted. Checked on and off until 1:30 and still nothing. Woke up at 4:00 and then tee times were there. Seems like it isn’t midnight.

Good to know. I already get up 4:30-5 so can make that work.

The morning tee times for a Saturday showed up around 12:30am on Tuesday. There were afternoon tee times available 7 days out. So I believe the only tee times that open up 5 days out would be the AM weekend tee times. Everything else would be 7 days.

I believe that’s #4, but love that hole too! Definitely a claustrophobic tee shot. I was telling @JMK that when my (slicing) buddies and I play that hole there is 1 beer shotgun penalty for hitting it in the creek! It’s usually good for at least one in the foursome. 10 is awesome, in fact the 10-12 stretch is my favorite on the course.

Welcome to the refuge/nest

What’s your least favorite golf hole in the state?

Who in MN has the best Cheese Curds?

Get involved and play some golf with this great group.

Cheers and welcome again

Thanks @kcurry11 and @Battisstatus for the warm welcome

Least fav hole is easily the horseshoe 15th at The Summit. Who doesn’t love hitting back to back to back 7 irons?? Honorable Mention goes to the entire Front 9 at Crystal Lake.

Best cheese curds go to Revival and the hot honey drizzle they throw on them.

Excited to go launch 'em with you guys, I’ve heard a lot about the group from Mr Kyle and I am glad to finally be joining the group!

I hate to start a controversy already, but I’d love to argue that the 13th at Crystal is far far far worse then any hole on the front.
Also, shout out to the Yuck Club
