Yā€™all, we still need one more for Landmand next Wednesday afternoon (5/24, first tee time at 1:00 PM). Green fee is $150. Play a little hooky and join us on one of the best new courses in the country.

Not quite Mankato but a couple friends of mine love Le Sueur CC. Have not personally played though.

Used to be a member at Le Sueur, itā€™s a bit of a hidden gem for sure. The greens there are always really really good. I did see they just had some river flooding issues but if thatā€™s gone back down, itā€™s a great option not too far from Mankato

The greens at Dornoch reminded me a lot of WBYC, except theyā€™re faster at WBYC.

Last night we did dinner at Maison Margaux which is a new restaurant down here in the North Loop. French style. I really enjoyed it. Outstanding food, but the speakeasy they put in the basement is really cool. Itā€™s only open Wednesday to Saturday right now but they let us walk through it to check it out.

Then tonight we did the ā€œBubbles and Bitesā€ at Travail. I donā€™t think thereā€™s a better restaurant in the cities than Travail.

Iā€™ve enjoyed Travail, but feel like we overdid it. We probably did 4 visits and 3 trips to Basement Bar in 18 months. Enjoyed the food, but the experience got less fun the more we did it. Peak ā€œmehā€ was getting a slice of ribeye cooked in front of you on a hot rock.

Probably will go back someday, but honestly have enjoyed a more casual night at Tennant more, just sitting at the counter and watching the kitchen flow.
