I’ll also confirm Southern Dunes is worth the drive. Quintero is also a cool spot if you are willing to drive. That place is desert golf on steroids with the views.
We are staying around the Glendale area.
The local contingent often recommends GCU golf course in that area along with Cave Creek, i haven’t played either but i believe they are at a better price point/value.
Disregard 100% of my recommendations. Also, stay further east.
Haha I would have if I had the choice. In laws rented a place for a couple months.
What’d you end up going with?
They’re starting very, very (perhaps it already has, shh), very soon.
Fought is doing the work. Crenshaw spent two days there and could only find 13-14 holes.
Selfishly, I would have loved a 12 hole C&C playground but am confident Fought will put in some good work.
I also find it difficult to believe the membership is sub 300 at present.
Sterling Grove and the Verrado golf courses.
@a-double-u should know
Both are most likely correct. Without knowing exact numbers, full golf members are most likely around what the article stated, whereas when you add in national and social members, the number is likely above 300.
Well, Dave is the money behind it, so if he decides, he decides, I suppose.
Verrado is awesome. Really nice Lehman course. A bit of a drive but worth it.
If making the trek to Maricopa/Southern Dunes, I would recommend playing The Duke as a warm up. Great for the confidence. Could it be the Shamrock of the Greater PHX Area? Who’s to say.
We get it. You know Dave.
Spring Hill gettin sued

LOTS of fun looking at my numbers. Never done anything with trackman before tonight and it’s a good thing too. I think I’d be addicted to looking numbers haha
Edit: 30 yards more carry and 25ish more on total distance. What that looks like out of a Sim, we have to wait until next year. Very excited
Every time I click on a bizjournal story about golf they somehow sneak in their own rating of the toughest MN golf courses.
Anyways I have no idea what any of this means but it’s always fun to hear about golf courses (specifically private clubs) getting sued.
12 degree? Interesante. Do you have it turned down for face angle or something?
-3.2 angle of attack on the driver swing. Again, learned lots about my numbers ![]()
Did you at least baseline your persimmon to see what your eventual gamer next year will be?
