Roll Call: Michigan - get out and play!

Still here and already want to come back. Its soooo much fun. Myself and others were surprise how well the Subi did. Took down everyhill with no problem. (Was super cautious though, cant wreck your vehicle on day 2 of a 10 day road trip haha)

Enjoy Wawashkamo! Such a fun course. If you’re looking for a conversation starter with the guys in the shop, you should ask them if they’ve found a white gold wedding ring with 8/17/19 imprinted on the inside in the last couple years. …asking for a friend

I’ve got Marquette info if you need it/haven’t been there before. DM me if you want!

Depends what your up for. Little Fleet is a spot on Front Street with like four or five food trucks and a taco stand, plenty of cocktails, wine, beer, etc. Hoplot was a cool spot. We finally went to the Filling Station, which is a brewery and flatbread/pizza spot that was cool. Rare Bird is always good, beer and burgers/sandwiches. There’s a new brewery called Silver Spruce that we haven’t been to yet. Right Brain is a little south of town on Boardman Lake, but has good beer (haven’t been there in a while though). Brewery Terra Firma is a probably a little too far from downtown with so many options up there, but always has interesting beers. Seven Monks is good, but haven’t been there in a while.

Slabtown burgers on Front St is awesome as well for a simple burger/fries/shake meal.

Playing Beeches in South Haven this Saturday at 7:20am if anyone would like to join. I promise a fast pace and some mediocre golf

is anything at bay harbor worth the freight? headed up there for a week in august with the fam.

I can’t stress this enough. No.

It’s not that they’re bad courses, they are just so overpriced. I don’t even think you can get a twilight for under $200. I played there last year (through a connection so it was free) and I had fun but could not imagine paying for the round. I could see myself paying $100 to play there but I don’t think they dip down that low.

I remember seeing/hearing that somewhere. Just realized Belvedere is only 30 min away. Might just drive there every round haha

exactly. There’s also Hidden River Casting Club in the opposite direction. I’ve never played there but the North Coast guys speak very highly of it.

Always appreciate someone who remembers a previous convo to link to, saving my lazy ass.

No idea what it is now but in 2019 it was a $50 add on to our Boyne package. Glad to have played it once in my life but won’t ever pay for it again.

Hidden River is not bad for the price. Harbor Point looks interesting but it says members only until September, so you would need to make some connections for that one. Even better, find a connection to get into True North.

Also which week?

Hidden River is fantastic. And it’s in great shape.

Going to be in the West Branch area in two weeks with extended family. Should be able to get one round in. Dream or Nightmare? I’ve played both but it’s been a decade plus so I have no memory of them. TIA

+1 for Nightmare being the better of the two. Been a couple years though so not sure if conditions have changed.
