I’m pretty sure they will charge you something for your dad walking the course with you. Not exactly sure how much but you could call Bethpage to find out.
I can’t speak for everyone, but I wouldn’t have a problem with your dad walking along with the group. He’s a golfer so he knows where to walk and stand. When to talk and when not too. An extra set of eyes always helps. I’d be surprised if the people you play with have a problem with it.
Also, for what its worth, the Blue may be one of the harder walking course at Bethpage. A lot of valleys inbetween tees and fairways. If you have the option I would play the Red. Not only is it a better course but aside from a few holes that play up hill (1,5,15) the course is fairly flat and easy to walk.
I have a twosome Saturday morning on Black that I can’t make. A little after 8am. Anyone on here interested? Message me for details, I’m hoping someone can make good use of it.
Thanks so much for posting this, I came close to canceling my out of town plans and snagging this from you, happy to take another time off your hands in the future/complete a 2some/4some if you needs guys. The LIRR is my equivalent of a Tour truck…
Agreed. The greens are night and day better than they were in May. Still struggling a little, but not even close. I teed off at 3 on Wednesday and played in under 4 hours. It was perfect.
Considering there is a heavy LI presence in this thread and most courses discussed have been played by plenty of people, when is the refuge LI meet up happening? I assume if we start planning now and shoot for post Labor Day it shouldn’t be too difficult
