Never before. Coming into town to see Kevin Morby play Friday night.
I will check to see if I can make it happen. What time? You need about 2.5 hours before sunset. I have heard of some epically slow rounds there. It’s a place primarily for beginners, seniors and juniors so it makes sense, but be prepared. We played in a little over 2 hours when I went.
I hope to leave Little Rock around noon so would put me in Memphis by 2:30 at the latest.
Gotta leave a bit later so thinking a 4:00 tee time should guarantee a 9th hole sunset.

All welcome at Overton
I can’t make it. Gotta be somewhere at 6. You will love it and I’ll catch you next time.
I wish I could make it but I’ve got to be back by 6. I’m down to play any mornings/afternoon in the future if you or anyone else is game. You’ll enjoy the course, it’s really cool for the area.
I wish I could but I’m on the way to Knoxville for the UT Bama game. Next time you’re in town, I’ll be down to play
No tee times listed on the website and no one is answering the phone. Can anyone local clue me in because this smells like bad news for me.
Edit: got an answer. All day tournament.
Alrights lets try this again. This Saturday who is free for Overton Park. Maybe around 3 or 4. Making a 9 hole adventure weekend. OP9, Sweetens and Sewanee.
So I might have to move to Memphis because of OP9. Come next summer that course will be on fire.
It really is a special place. It needs a few more months of heavy growth and it will be spectacular.
Random but if you’ve been looking for a Global Entry interview a bunch of times just opened for Memphis
Looking for somewhere to play in Memphis on Monday, playing Sweetens Friday and planned on OP9 Monday but they are closed. I’ve played Mirimichi before and enjoyed it but would like to play somewhere new.
Will have a good amount of time to kill.
Let me know what you guys recommend
Check out Forrest Hills. Not sure whats its like today but used to play it a bunch back in the late 90s.
It’s certainly not local, but Tunica National is a cool track that’ll test your game. It’s only 45 odd minutes away
If you are wanting to stay in Memphis proper, Galloway is a fun little muni and a nice walk in East Memphis. Not to encourage rule breaking but you could probably sneak on OP9…
Hey Memphis folk just joined the nest. Play out at windyke. I flat out suck at the moment but if you’re looking for a fourth or just someone to get out and knock it around with shoot me a message! Pretty flexible schedule for the next few months till my first kid is born
I’m also a member out at Windyke. We will have to get together for a round soon
