Cape cod Country Club is different than Falmouth CC which is 27 holes.
Cape club of falmouth I think is semi private now too.

Is there a waiting list at Willowbend? My buddy owns a place right in the area is looking into joining a club close by.
The Cape has a bunch of excellent munis. Of the ones Iāve played I enjoyed Highland Links and Bass River the most. Highland Links is has amazing views and a ton of character. Bass River is quirky and a lot of fun. Captains, the Dennis courses, and Cranberry Valley are also good.
ok, thks
What about the one that used to be Ballymeade? Is that private?
I think itās called Cape Club now and is public.
After finally playing Highland, I donāt know that Iāll ever go to the Cape and play golf without playing itā¦
I donāt believe there is a waiting list. Also, had some good deals during COVID and if you are under 35.
There is also Sacconnesset golf club in there which is private and itās awesome.
Played those tracks and enjoyed them but it was slow moving even during off season. We did Quashnet as well, that was the closest Iāve come to breaking a club in the last 15 years.
15 yrs too late for that deal unfortunately.
Ah, it gets pretty pricey then. This is going to be my last year there.
If youāre coming in and have time for just 9, you must stop at Marion Golf in Marion, Mass. Not exactly āon the wayā, but only ~15 minutes from the Bourne Bridge. Between that and Highland Links, two of the most fun 9 holers youāll see. Cotuit Highgrounds is another fun 9, but not on the level of the other two
The other advice advice is spot on. if you can find a way onto any of the older privates, you canāt go wrong. Oyster Harbors, HyPort, Woods Hole, Wianno, Pocasset, Cummaquid and of course EHo! are all awesome
Iāve been reading a bunch of the Doak books this winter, and heās extremely low on Highland, which staggers me. I played it for the first time last year and it blew me away. Helped that I played it at golden hour on a gorgeous day in July, but the place was everything I wanted from it.
Sort of piling on here, but played CCCC and Bass River both last fall and they were both great. I would choose Bass River first. Itās very walkable. I really liked 10 - 11 - 12, My alternate routing would have them play as 16 - 17 - 18
Checking in from West Roxbury here. My friends and I find a league to join every year. Last year it was at Brookmeadow CC in Canton which was amazing. Great course and patio for after the round to grab a few cold ones. This year it looks like weāll be joining a league at Maplegate CC in Bellingham (Brookmeadow ran out of spots). My brother (who is also a Nest member) and I usually try to get out early on Wednesdays to shoot nine holes or more at this point in the season and we go all over. Just went to Wentworth CC last week in Plainville and itās in pretty good condition.
Iām not sure where it is in regards to you but Crumpin Fox is an amazing course out west. I went there for a weekend with my dad and brother for one of our last rounds last fall and the conditions were amazing, the course was difficult but it never left me feeling like I was out of the game, and the pro shop and bar was definitely up to the C suite standards. I highly recommend that course, Iām already trying to get back there this spring.
Welcome! Iām out in Sharon now but grew up in the West Roxbury area (friends there but lived by forest hills) Always down to host at Sharon CC or get out to Brookmeadow or wentworth hills. City courses are always great too.
Welcome! Iām nearby as well, play out of The Orchards in South Hadley. Let me know any time you want to tee it up, always looking for folks out this way to play with. Frequent visitor to The Ranch, Crestview, Westover as well
Thanks, I am a member at Ludlow, used to play Hickory Ridge out near you back in college, was nice back in the day. My work schedule gets better in 2 weeks, wouldnāt mind getting out there at either place.
