Roll Call: Massachusetts

Hi all, brand new to The Refuge. Live in North Andover, previously in Dover, NH. In fact still work in Dover and am a member of Cochecho CC there. Ran into NLU videos on Youtube, love the content. Haven’t played many courses in MA, just Far Corners and Sagamore in Lynnfield.

I get to play at the one of the finest locations MA has to offer. Playing a scramble at 8am on course 1 Ponky.

I feel like Maren Morris -The Bones is the perfect song for Ponkapoag.

Got my third loop of Old Sandwich this week. Gets better every time. Unreal vibe, impeccable service and an absolute tits golf course. I love that place so much.

its not old sandwich but ponky just always hits me in the feels. The course has such hope and when you tuck one or shape one off the tee you get what they want you to do. Greens were patchy and tee boxes were mostly sand but when you look ahead you see what they were hoping for and it’s so pretty.

I just saw the worst four words a boston area golfer can see - “course closed frost delay”. Uggh, means the end of the season is rapidly approaching

Thanks! I will likely have some spots but still moving a few things around. Likely last minute but would be Oct. 24 or possibly 25. Stay tuned on Insta and remind me that you got the hall pass! That has to get you in on this. I have real respect for the hall pass as I’ve abused mine for years.

That place is so effing sick. Easily up there with Essex County Club and Boston Golf Club in my top 3 for Massachusetts (disclaimer, haven’t played Old Sandwich or TCC yet).

It’s so wildly underrated. The movement in the 5th fairway (Last photo) is absolutely next level. I love that course so much.

Edit: It looks like a Rainbow Road Mario Kart track

Looking for some help here: I have a friend that lives in New Jersey but will be in Raynham for a couple of days next week. We are going to tee it up in the morning on the day that he will be driving back to New Jersey. So I want to find a course that is relatively close to where he is staying, or around 495 in that area. I know Olde Scotland Links is pretty close to where he will be, but does anyone else have some favorite courses around there? I haven’t played very many courses down that way.
