Little Marion is usually open as soon as the snow melts. Not sure if the new owners want to be more careful since they have actually put some money/effort into maintaining the greens.
PLEASE HELP SAVE CAPE COD COUNTRY CLUB. A historic, Devereux Emmet design is set to be destroyed to build a solar farm. There have to be better options to energy sustainability than destroying a historic public golf course with fantastic architecture. Ironically, the course has been recognized for it’s sustainable practices. This affordable, fun course (great story about Arnie playing the famous Volcano hole) is a local gem that is needed with all the expensive, private courses in the area. There is a public hearing on 3/16. Please voice your opposition via email concom@falmouthma.gov . Thank you!
The "Volcano Hole", the par 4, 14th hole at Cape Cod Country Club in East Falmouth, Massachusetts - YouTube The Volcano Hole. Strange trying to save something that’s caused me so much pain over the years
that flyover does not do justice to the severity of the drop off on the right side. Such a fun hole. My in laws live not too far from there and while I only visit the area a couple times each year, I am hoping to get one more round this summer before they start construction of the solar farm.
Haha yeah the right side is brutal when it bounces onto the 15th tee and you get to hit a flop shot in front of everyone in the group ahead. Let’s not give up yet, voice your support to concom@falmouthma.gov
I’ve never played there, sounds like I need to get down there this spring.
even amongst the great privates on and around the cape, CCCC is an absolute must play. Will be sad to see it go

Shot in the dark but have a tee time at Brookmeadow in canton this Friday the 18th at 9:15, buddy had to bail for “work” anyone interested let me know would love to meet local refugees!
Thought I could swing it. 12pm meeting with director changed that.
I know some people have mentioned the Pure Drive facility up in Woburn as a solid place for lessons/ indoor sessions. Anyone else get a cryptic e-mail from them last week that Pat Bigelow was no longer an instructor there? I believe he was one of the head instructors.
He left and is opening his own place on the South Shore. I have not heard more than that.
Well, here is some excellent timing.

I was checked out for the winter, just coming back into the Nest now… just added my name onto the list.
The place is great for practicing and lessons. I have taken some lessons with Brain Dunleavy there and its been great. Interesting stuff about Pat though, didn’t realize he left.
Grew up in Marshfield and play at Scituate country club!
No love for Widows, place sucks only use it for the cheap range tokens.
Would love to get involved in some events in the Boston area. Currently live in Braintree.
Been a couple weeks since we announced our first Roost event at Cape Cod Country Club on 4/9. I think that means everyone in the Roost who wanted a spot has had time to grab one, so opening it up to everyone. If you haven’t joined the Roost but are looking to come out and meet some fellow golf sickos or have already signed up but have a non-Refuge buddy who you would like to bring along, add their info to the sheet (no handicap required if you just want to play and not be involved in the season competition). $50 for golf and small charity donation.
Is there a WhatsApp chat for the Tee Party Roost I could join?h
