Roll Call: Massachusetts

…what’s the Boston tee party?

That is the name of our Roost. You can sign up here.

Have a Captain’s meeting scheduled for Thursday the 13th, will be sending out an email with more details after that.

Thanks - as someone on the free side of the paywall I’ve seen many mentions to various local Roosts, but have not been able to piece together what a Roost is? Seems like it’s another moniker for collecting NLU faithful by region, but what makes a Roost different from the way we’ve gathered in the past?

It is very similar to how we have gathered in the past, but with the Roost there is a season-long competition which will lead into a regional qualifier and eventually a national team competition.

Looking forward to some events this year. Can’t wait to see what the schedule looks like.

Is it too late to sign up for this?

Never too late. Put your info in the sheet and I will add you to the group.

Perfect, I’ll add it tonight thanks!

Hey all, new Nest member here and wanted to say hi. I’m originally from Mass and live in Stowe, VT and split summer time between the 2. Just threw my name into the Boston Tee Party Sheet and would love to be able to join some fun outings and tournaments this year!

i played it by buying a school fundraiser 3some off craigs list that someone bought just to support the school so i an 2 friends played for $100. total random thing. even more random is that residents of manchester by the sea can play weekday afternoons. its worth moving  good luck

Hey all, dipping my toe in the water here. Non-nest member, but put my information down on the Boston Tee Party sheet. Look forward to hearing more once we finally shake loose of the grasp of winter.

Welcome aboard! Happy to have you. Hopefully the warm weather this week results in some good melting and we’ll be out there sooner rather than later!

We can certainly hope! I’ve got a round on vacation in two weeks to officially kick off Golf Year 2022, so it would be great to find somewhere (probably down on the south shore) that’s viable in early March.

This is a 2x “like” You + South Shore

I know we are probably still a couple of weeks away, but what places do ya’ll usually look to play at the beginning of the season?

I’ve gone down to South Shore Country Club in Hingham a couple of times in Marches past, and also been able to play Gannon in Lynn in late March before.

Down here in Plymouth, Crosswinds is always open if there’s no snow on the ground. The other main courses here (Pinehills, Waverly, Atlantic, Southers Marsh) tend to open end of March or first week of April but the conditions can be hit or miss for sure.
