I think this entirely depends on where you live. I don’t know of any club in KC that’s worth battling anything more than like a 10min drive to get to.
Just a quick note of reccomendation.
After my clubs got swiped a couple weeks ago and insurance cut a check, on suggestion of our own Ben, i went to GolfMD to get formally fitted.
Mike was awesome and completely wore me out trying dozens of combinations of things. Was fun and educational and having never been fit for irons previously found it to be a really good experience.

100% agree with this. I did an iron fitting a few years back was awesome.
I actually recently saw Rob there for a putter fitting, which I had never done. I was very upfront with them that I wasn’t going to buy from them (I have like $600 in #shopcredit that needs spent) and he still put me through the paces. Was a very good experience.
Would 100% recommend them for any kind of fitting you’re thinking about.

I just got all my irons and wedges regripped and reshafted with new ferrules. Had the wedges’ grooves sharpened and they blasted the faces as well…

Wonder if they would do any event for us? Something like a group night. I can certianly ask when I go back to pick up my irons.
GolfMD (Mike Dickerson) has been doing this a while, and I’ve never heard a single person across all level of player have a bad thing to say about his setup.

Before golf (and GolfMD) got super popular, they would be willing to rent you one of their bays for $20/hr. I remember going there a few times a month one winter and shooting the shit with them. Miss those days…
@Spanky_kc and I built a sim at the beginning of Covid. Some matches this winter would be fun.
So down for this. And maybe joining a sim league to keep the swing somewhat intact.
A winter SIM league would be something I’d be wildly interested in. I know there are several places that run them and would be down to investigate.
