Can’t echo enough what Travis said above. Beautiful December golf day, a nice 4 hour comfy round at a great muni and exactly the type of random meet up I’ve looked forward to since joining the Nest almost 2 years ago! Looking forward to the next time out with fellow KC Roosters and can’t thank Ben, Vince and Travis for the great conversations and outing today!

Also I’ll brag because I doubt they will but what a round from my fellow peers:
Ben: played fantastic including 2 Eagles and 2 fist pumps to match them!
Travis: Has such a smooth ball flight and strike, and had a few birdies to his name on the day!
Vince: Only his 2nd time playing the course I believe but you could of fooled me, was hitting some fantastic shots into some real tough green and pin placements on a windy day and the putter caught fire at times.
If you get the chance to play with any of these 3 fine gents, don’t pass it up. Or count your blessing if they are you partner in a future NLU/Roost team event because take my advice “they are willing to carry you”

That’s very kind of you considering how much bad came with the good lol. I was in awe at some of your drives. Ben was crazy impressive. And thanks to Travis and Ben for explaining some of the architecture of Swope to a novice like me. Loved the attitude from the group today. Looking forward to the next meet up.

does a sunflower have too much association with KS for the MO/IA/NE folks?
I like @VinnyG use of the sun, but what about using a sunflower as the sun, with just the silhouette and the clod of turf? for merch purposes it needs to be able to look good with a single thread color, or two at most, and needs to be recognizable regardless of thread color.
Set in front of a windmill?
That might be it. A windmill with a sunflower instead of the wings? of the windmill. Could throw in a wayward drive in the center of the sunflower for good measure.

KGA (I refuse to use the stupid new name) released dates for SLAT and MidAm series. Kind of a disappointing line up, though they’re holding a couple TBA dates, maybe we’ll get a couple good venues added later.
I can work on that when I get back to my place after work today. I had already silhouetted the grass and resized things a bit.

I think the grass the silhouette is standing in can go away. I like the image of it, but I don’t think it would transfer well outside of print/digital images.

I agree with that based on how my logo and @RunItOut’s logo looked. We could make it less awkward if it was framed into a circular badge with some interesting sunset colors behind the silhouetted player and grass. Can throw a sunflower sun in the background pretty easy and a do the windmill idea as well.

A sunflower and windmill for those states perfectly. Like the idea of the wayward logo to show the tie in to NLU.

@RomeToDetroit - know you aren’t a master of all things photo shot/logo creation.
Thinking get the grass at the bottom out of there. Make it all black. Simpler sunflower (again all black) and make it so you can’t see the windmill through the sunflower.
Best logos are simple IMO.
For sure! This is by no means meant to be the actual/official logo. I just like using this app I have to make quick mock-ups before someone who actually knows what they’re doing can take over and create something great. I’ll try something simpler when I get the chance, though!
