I’m in a regular 4some that’s looking for a 4th this summer. One of us moved to Tampa last year. We try to play every weekend.

I play Otter Creek about once a year & the front 9 is a challenge and often chews me up & spits me out, but you can score well on the back. I play TCI every 4-5 years and it makes me want to quit the game.

That almost made me spit out my wine. It’s about as close to target golf (on a public course) as we get around here. I am just not good enough or accurate enough to play it respectably.

If you want the best test of golf, then I would choose between Waveland, Veenker & TCI. If you’re looking for more fun rounds, I would also consider Jester Park, Beaver Creek & Legacy.

Are there any outdoor, heated bay ranges in Central Iowa? Sims only do so much to scratch the golf itch during Iowa winters

No public ones that I know of. I miss the bubble that used to be in Johnston.

Last time I was at Blue Top Ridge I thought they had heated bays but that was a few years ago.
Yeah I miss that dome, bummer it came down. Could’ve sworn Newton had something, but I could be mistaken.

Legacy in Norwalk possibly? They have a small shack with a few bays on their range, not sure if heated or even open in the winter. Could also only be used for lessons.
I gave up on them a couple years back. Unless you sign up for lessons they basically would not let you out. Not sure if its still that way but it just pissed me off enough to not want to go back. I used to go every weekend when they built it.

Idk 11-12? My son has basketball that weekend but I won’t know what time til a few days before. I posted on my Facebook group to try and get a few players to join
Friends, I’ll be in CR tomorrow night and would love to get a little sim game in if anyone can swing it. Not sure what the best place is out that way.

My wife’s birthday is tomorrow so I won’t be able to make it. I think for places in CR you are pretty limited though. St Andrews has sims and so does airport national. I don’t think there are any strictly golf sim places though.
