Finally someone to tee it up with regularly. I’ve been trying to get people to play forever and no one is ever available.
I’m on the Northside, so I’m willing to host wherever. I’m close to Purgatory, but Bear Slide is fun too as long as it isn’t too wet.
The Fort is good on the east side. Not sure of what else is over there.
Never played Eagle Creek, it’s closest to 465 so I’m down. Could also play GCI (I know it’s north) but would be able to include @BBracky more easily.
I’ve only played Southern Dunes once and I was the only one on the course on a FRIGID November morning. Quite the slog, but wasn’t too bad. Valley Vista is public now? Maybe try that out?
Surprisingly have never played Brickyard and need an excuse to play it. Also, crooked stick would be cool, there’s gotta be a member in this thread right?
Eagle Creek, Southern Dunes, and Brookshire are all consistently under $40. The Fort is definitely pricey, but there isn’t another East side course worth it IMO, and it’s still usually $75 or less for a full round. The Brickyard rounds are more celebrations of the TC way a couple times a year.
It’s hard to go much cheaper than those three without just playing dog tracks, but I’m open to options like I said.
FWIW, the strapped boys are usually playing somewhere in the $30-$50 range save for a few urban courses and obviously Taconic which, had they paid, would far exceed all of these
Totally in! I’m on west side… dk how far you all wanna drive but Deer Creek is like $32 during the week and just off of 70. Same as you, I’ve been trying to get a weekly game to stick for a while. I’ve got some good connections for EOY/Mid Summer including BYC- Keep my in the loop!
With two kids under two, I’m not sure I have the leverage to negotiate a weekly game with my wife. BUT i’d be all in for a monthly meet up. As @Ty.Webb said, GCI is in my backyard, but I’m open to anything in Central Indy.
Last I was at Rock Hollow (last summer or maybe the one before), it was in brutal condition. Sad, really. Noble Hawk and Cobblestone are both good options. Stonehenge too.
Seems like there’s good interest overall. My plan right now is to block a couple tee times 3-4 weeks in advance, get an idea on numbers/commitments and go from there.
I think the likelihood would be that third weekend in March just thinking of weather history, but if we get some unexpected warmth would look to move up as much as possible.
I have a connection at Eagle Creek and both courses are pretty straightforward in terms of difficulty and easy to get to in terms of travel, so that would be my plan to start things off with this “golf club”. The group would then plan more going forward in terms of venues and dates.
