We had four guys out Sunday, played it forward, had a blast. Also recommend waiting until April because campus is on full buzz.

Play shorter tees, play a match, you’ll be happy. They do have to clean up their act with bunkers and some drainage issue areas—otherwise great spot.

Let us know if any btown questions and whether you need a few Coopers to show you around

Indianans(?), I’m spending some time in Cassopolis MI at the end of July, looks like the closest real city is south bend. Any golf worth checking out while I’m in the area?

If you only have one round: Warren. You will get obliterated. You will love it. Awesome course with plenty of unknown challenges on the first play through.

Blackthorn has hosted an LPGA previously, haven’t played yet but rave reviews all over.

Eberhart (a bit more east but same general area) is a honestly an underrated track. Shoutout @country35 for the rec. Had a blast here a few times.

Dunno if they have opened Burke to the public again (closed for students only during COVID) but 9 hole course that isn’t too bad. Not terribly difficult, lots of doglegs.

Eberhart is in Mishawaka isn’t it? Used to do some recruiting out that way back in a different life.

It is indeed. Course goes over a river a few times.

From what I have seen on the TGJ discord, it looks like Burke is closed/getting reduced to 7ish holes unfortunately.

7 holes is certainly a look.

Was actually looking at the schedule and a way to squeeze in a cheap game and a round out there with my 4 year old sometime this fall.

Teeps is a smart man.

  • Warren at twilight for the best deal in golf :white_check_mark:
  • HawksHead Links for a morning round
  • Blackthorn is great (we played it around a massive rainstorm, maybe 1.5”, and it was still in great shape throughout)

Got a tee time for tomorrow afternoon at Saddlebrook on a GolfNow Hot Deal, will be refunded if the course doesn’t open according to their policies. $20, 3 spots open when I got mine.

Hello Hoosiers! @djheadley has taken over as commish of MARCH MUDNESS, an annual season kickoff to the @ SecondCityGC outdoor calendar that benefits the First Tee of Greater Chicago. Along with the event is a raffle hosted by yours truly.

While some of you may be playing in the Mudness, a highly selective field (parenthesis sarcasm), the raffle is open to everyone!!

I’m sharing because we have rounds at great private clubs that have been donated for said raffle including: Aurora CC, Black Sheep Golf Club and Olympia Fields CC North

So if you’d like to recreate the recreation of Rahm’s Unreal Putt, buy a raffle ticket today.

TLDR: Raffle tickets for rounds at Aurora CC, Black Sheep and OFCC North available at the link below. Message me with any queries.

Course East of Indy - Total Solar Eclipse April 8

First post here, so please tell me where to drop this if I’m OB.

Looking for suggestions on courses to play in Indiana for the Solar Eclipse on Monday, August 8th next month. Staying in Cincy and likely day tripping our round with a buddy so would like to keep it under a 2hr drive. Likely going to book the Pfau at IU as a placeholder in case nothing else emerges.

Zone of totality map is below (if I posted it correctly):

I encourage anyone to join or find a course to play at during that window. Buddy and I played Sequoyah National in NC during the 2017 eclipse and it was unreal. Vowed to peg it every future total solar event in the US thereafter. Gotta wait 20 years for the next one.

Make sure you have the needed eye wear and bonus points for a glow ball in your bag for the 3-4 minute window of darkness.
