Roll Call: East Tennessee

I’m still waiting on the opportunity to play Holston

I’d say come through next week, but I would advise to wait till October. We are pulling cores in a couple of Monday’s and it’ll be primo in the fall.

Dude that would be sick. I’ve seen the place just from driving by and it looks incredible.

I am semi familiar with the McConnell courses and membership setup, but would happily listen to a sales pitch that I can pass along to my friends should you want to elaborate lol.

If I lived on the east side of town, I’d have to seriously fight to not join Holston for golf alone.

Time to move.

I’m in Rocky Hill and have put the distance to Holston vs the distance to Fairways in my GPS like five times and think I could make it work.

You’re right by me then…only downside to Rocky Hill is proximity to golf I’ve found.

Edit: public golf. Haven’t quite taken the dive to the c-suite life

They’re all great tracks. Think about it, you pay for one membership and get the same treatment at 13 other clubs. If you like golf trips you can go to Asheville on your way to Charlotte, leave there and go to Raleigh, and come back through Greensboro on your way to Knoxville. It’s kind of dumb not to

True. Willow is within striking distance and Roosters is within stumbling distance so there is a give and a take there.

Fairways has gotten in such shitty condition that I would drive 10-20 minutes farther just for better grass. Holston beats Fairways in the practice area contest 6&5.

Way more crowded lately as well. Not sure if that is a product of the pandemic or way more members but it can be hard to get a spot after work or on the weekends.

My range rat best friend has taken me out there a couple times in the last year. Have not been impressed and its super crowded.

I’ve never understood the idea of paying for a range membership over paying for a membership at a course. I was under the impression the point of golf was to actually play golf.

Green Meadow, my gui. It’s the nice, easy stepping stone to a membership like Holston and it’s probably the same distance away.

Range grass is mint.

I am on the NC/TN border in Mitchell county. Lots of guys from here drive over to play Graysburg. I’ve not gotten to play it yet, I am also a HS Football coach, so things have opened up for me quite a bit. Count me in on this!

Have played a couple tracks in Knoxville area. We go and stay with friends in Lousiville/Maryville(vull).

I live on the Virginia/Tennessee border and have played Graysburg many times. Knobs to Fodderstack is a solid track, and then you have Chimney Top, which is wild and a pretty fun.

Do these folks post here? I follow them on Instagram and have seen that SSC Mackenzie around a few times and always wondered.

Not active at all. I know they’re around here, but I actually don’t know their refuge handles.

That a boy @holeout
