Roll Call: East Tennessee

Very interesting. Aside from the Tillinghast bastardization is it fun? Worth a trip from Knoxville?

Also, what would you say is the best course in the Tri-Cities? I’ve heard very good things about Ridgelands CC (Donald Ross design).

Yo! There was another Refugee out there and I didn’t know? Hit me up sometime my gui.

Yyyyyyeeeep. Just like that yesterday. To be fair, that green does slope away from you.

But yea it was like concrete. I hit driving iron on 14 down into the big gully of death.

  1. I couldn’t recommend Hattie B’s more. (It’s not Prince’s but it’s good hot chicken).
  2. Unfortunately I won’t be in TN this weekend.

Oh duh

Yeah, it’s worth the trip IMO. It’s fun little course that’s probably 6200-6400 yards. Greens are usually fast and are definitely undulating.

The best courses in the Tri-Cities region are the Olde Farm and The Virginian, which are both in the Bristol area. Both are hard to get on though. I’m a big fan of Johnson City Country Club and Ridgefields (which I think is the Ross you’re referring to). Ridgefields is in Kingsport, btw.

What’s up guys. New to the Refuge but been following NLU boys since Solly worked overseas. Just wanted to check in with my follow East TN folks.

Welcome man! Always glad to add another to the group.

As a former area high school golfer in Knox County, THANK YOU for all you do for the current players in the area.

Hey man. Thanks for that. Wish we could do more for local golf … and we plan to. Just takes small steps.

Anyone playing the HRMC tourney today at Holston? Teeing off around 130p if you’re around.

I’m always here, my man

Course is playing nice! Kudos to you and your team.

its a little wetter than what we want, but its the best we got for now. It’ll be prime time in October

Was out of town this year, but as someone who loathes charity events I actually look forward to playing in that every year.

and praying that it doesnt rain that entire month

Hey Gents & Gals,

We have a group playing Sweetens on Saturday in a few weeks and we were supposed to play Sewannee but they have closed it to the public for the time being so we need an alternative local.

Any recommendations on where to play near Chatt? Brainerd? Lookout Mtn? …JK

Honors course should be wide open.
