Hey guys…I live about a mile from the wheel. I haven’t played a round of golf since August 2019 because of a couple surgeries but am anxious to get back out there.

Been in CT for two years now. Play out of TPC River Highlands. Haven’t played much else around New England so I’m looking to explore this year.

I’d love to get in on this. I’m a UConn student who has interned for Travelers for two summers working on the tournament. Have been itching to play TPC, been able to play Keney, Fox Hopyard, CT National, etc

Anybody played at ZStrict? I’m interesting in playing there and want to know how it.
Heard it’s decent for a sim. Prices seem fair from what I read.
Checking in - Hartford Area, play out of Golf Club of Avon. Would love to meet up with people this year and explore some other CT courses, Shenecossett may be my favorite I’ve played so far.
Also, I am having a couple friends come down for a “Strapped - Hartford” what 3 courses should we play - my 3 right now are Gillette on Friday, Keney Saturday and Wintonbury Hills Sunday, just missing the cut are Goodwin, Stanley and Tunxis, what are your thoughts? Also J. Timmothys dirt wings is a must hit place while they’re here, what else? Any and all thoughts are welcome.

The simulators there are solid, they have early bird specials throughout the week that tend to be the best times to go price wise. I find their course selection a little weak but it seems like there’s always one or two new courses each time I’ve gone so they’re probably actively trying to add to the catalogue.

I agree, I go to Golf Lounge 18 in Fairfield and find the course selection to be a lot better. They just got Pebble, Spanish Bay…

I haven’t made it over to Golf Lounge yet but the description of their hardest course available has me INTRIGUED to say the least.
“The most challenging course is Devils Island. It’s a ficticious course build around an extinct volcano of a rugged island in the middle of the Pracific Ocean. From several tee shots along the cliffs, to the signature fourteenth, these 18 holes reward the accurate golfer lavishly and challenge the rest to reconsider if golf is the sport for them.”
I might throw Rockledge in WeHa in as an alternate option or Lyman Orchards or Blackledge if you’re looking to get a little bit farther outside of the Hartford area. Lots of great breweries around that are worth checking out in-between rounds, New Park (Hartford) or Alvarium (New Britain) are my personal favorites.
