Roll Call: Colorado -- @PJM v Colorado Golfers, @PJM only half guilty

I’m planning on heading to the web.com event on the 12th, which is Friday. I hate crowds and traffic, so I’m not going on the weekend. Happy to meet up with anybody who wants to join me on that day.

Crowds? Web.com tour?

I hate other people…

(It’s more the traffic than anything else)

Yeah it’s a hike up there for us. Let me check w/ my wife, I might join you up there.

Hoping for registration in about two weeks. It’ll be 200-250 person event the evening of Thursday August 22nd with entertainment (see: band + pod), dinner, booze, contests) for about $50 and then 100 person 36-hole event on Friday August 23rd for around $350. We will have a room block with discounted rates for anyone coming in from out of town. Will keep you posted as things progress. Deep in the planning the past few days (apologies for being rather quiet on here and twitter, just in the lab!)

I just checked flights…round trip, non stop flights for $177. Count me in.

Hey everyone

I’m trying putting together a 9-hole skins game Friday night (6/21/19). Trying to gauge interest out here. Please send me a DM if you’re interested in playing.

*edit to this - tee times are booked at Willis case. Entry and buyin at 6:15. First groups off at 6:30. Post round at Gold Spot Brewing a couple blocks from the course since the restaurant will be closed when we finish.

Alright, @jhkaplan @Eric_Denver @HypnoChameleon @agroovetoolow @ChiefTwig @redbeard_golf @W1LDC4T, looks like we have a game with two foursomes. Does anyone have any preference between Saturday or Sunday? As PJM said, CommonGround has their member/guest that weekend, so I was thinking Murphy Creek, but I know that ED has problems with golf holes that have houses on them, so any other suggestions for courses?

@PJM @Deadman @clayreierson, I hope that we can get a round going monthly, so there should also be more opportunities. One thought I had was doing something else the next weekend, so we could watch The Open in the morning and have a round in the afternoon/evening if that would work for any of you?

Courses without houses:
Walnut Creek
Saddleback
Bear Dance
Fox Hollow
South Suburban (kind of)

Sounds awesome, but unfortunately I’m in San Antonio for work.

My July golf schedule is a little up in the air right now. I’ll know more next week, but I’m definitely interested in trying to get together one of those two weekends.

oh hey guy

@Fore20 @DeadMan and others. If you’re interested or available I’m putting together a skins game tomorrow night at Willis Case. Let me know if you want in - we still have a couple spots left.

while i certainly appreciate the invite, i live in NC and wont be able to make the skins game tomorrow

Haha whoops

I’m interested if you do this again. I can’t make this Friday work.

@jhkaplan and @Moultz weren’t able to make it this week either, however we’ve got about 10/12 signed up so far - so I’d definitely like to do this again. Possibly next Friday???

Played in a high school tournament at South Suburban with a kid who hit his first drive of the day (we started off #10) into the houses OB left and spent the rest of the round a nervous wreck because he wasn’t totally sure that he hadn’t heard breaking glass.

So, yeah, there are houses.

Foothills didn’t really have houses on the 18 hole course, at least back when I was playing there. Suppose they could have been built up since.

I should have taken a peek at google maps - I haven’t played there in a few years and couldn’t remember…

I’ve not played foothills, but you’re right - they don’t have houses.

Also Riverdale Dunes is house free. Can’t believe I forgot there. I love that place.
