I live in the Springs. Could probably snag a tee time on the Blue Course on Sunday if you’re interested. Not sure how much leg work is necessary to get a pass to get on post though.
That would be awesome. I’ll shoot you a DM.
Last call for Fox Hollow scouting trip. 2 spots open. 6am tee time on Sunday.
One spot open at CG this Friday at 8:40am, there will be sun.
Hidden behind the snow
Hey all. New to the refuge, live in Arvada, play to about a 10 hcp. Would love to get looped in. #GoAvs
welcome @Cloudcolor! This year NLU started a nation wide club championship, we have a local chapter here in Denver with a few events throughout the season, let me know if you want in, great way to meet new golfing buddies
Was anyone out at Fox Hollow this morning?
@Preston did you lose an engine or were just late to your tee time?
Why are they closing those holes? Just play it as GUR and let’s move on.
Airplane in the middle of a fairway?? Sounds perfect for Fossil Trace.
Should have landed on Canyon 5. A plane in the middle of the fairway there would at least stop some balls from going into the canyon.
That’s why multi-engines are scary! And yes, Fossil Trace would just leave it there.
Would improve #9
I will be traveling out to Colorado from Illinois next week. I plan on playing wild horse on the way and will be staying south of Denver after. My 13 yr old son will be playing and he’s a good player. We want to play common ground and any recommendations you guys have for a course to play around Denver or on the way to glenwood springs. Thanks!
I played Bear Dance in Larkspur and had a blast. If you play, try to get the 8 am tee time. You will get paired up with a great group of members who will show you around the course. If you end up with that tee time, please let me know.
Mountain golf generally needs at least another month before conditions are good, so if that matters to you at all you may want to stick with golfing in Denver and skip playing along I-70 on the way to Glenwood Springs.
There was absolutely nothing wrong with the conditions last week. Maybe the conditions will get better? If so, that’s amazing, but it’s hard for me to imagine better conditions.
Thanks for the info! Conditions are not a priority since we will only be playing any course once just looking for the track with the best shot value. Places like broadmoor and fossil trace are easy to find on searches I was just asking if anybody has a course they love in that area. We love golf courses in general, we played Estes park 9 and Collindale? last trip to RMNP. Loved them both. We will be playing wild horse on the way out and plan on playing common ground, so just need one more if it works out. Thanks
