Executive decision here - MP is the major but I’ll send out a Google Form for everyone to write their info down if they’re up for TPC at one point this year.
NLU wants the majors to draw in people from other Roosts. There’s a much better chance people plan a trip around MP to qualify for the NIT and then play other courses before/after. I also love @TrajMahal’s theme so let’s go with that.

IMO if a major is to pull out of town guests the event should be The Ope’ the waitlist is huge and full of out of town guests.

Ope has biggest out of state pull in our region by far right?
I think if we were to compete with that it’d need to be at a more destination course than mt prospect.

The idea of us planning an event with the specific purpose of accommodating out-of-towers doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.
We have what I assume is one of if not the most active Roosts and will have no problem filling an event from our own numbers even with no outside participation.

Not to mention that there is PLENTY of accommodation for people in the “Greater Chicagoland Area”
Hotels are everywhere in the burbs and they’re not expensive compared to what you’ll find up near Lawsonia or Sand Valley

Because NLU is heavily promoting each Roost major next year they seem to expect some people to travel. Their goal is for the Roost majors to make up an “NIT qualifying series” of sorts.
I’ll get my 32 spots from MP and if there’s crazy demand NLUniverse wide maybe they’ll give us another foursome or two.

Is that not because a lot of the newer or smaller Roosts need the boost to get a full field of participation that would justify the NIT spot?

Magic School Bus lessons almost had me burn our house down once. Their episode about electricity showed them using aluminum foil to repair a wire and it was seared into my brain. So when our iron had a frayed wire I used aluminum foil to “patch” it. Needless to say it exploded.
