Would be GRRREAT if Edwin Watts could get their sh*t together and stop asking for Driver shafts that have been discontinued for 4 years
…I still feel shame

Fat Shafts are back?
Hey guys curious what events would help qualify for the NIT and club championship?
I believe this year was:
March Mudness
Breakfast ball
Mt prospect
Match play bracket
@EConroy419 would need to confirm what the plan is for 2023
My wife has a work trip to Chicago Nov 10th and debating if I should go with her and make a weekend of it. Is the weather too bad at this time? If I go, any course recommendations?
Define cold.
@EConroy419 and I played on 12/20 last year, early November is doable.
Looking back a couple years, I played more golf in November than I did in July. Having said that, the weather can be a crapshoot. Shitty cold rain, snow, or 65 and sunny.
But there are plenty of courses still open, including all the Cook County Forest Preserve courses. But places like Mt Prospect, Schaumburg GC, and other local park district courses are often still open as well.
Bring layers and you’ll be fine.
Bubble shafts. Pretty sure I got a Ti Bubble 2 back in my mom’s garage.
Anyone want to play tomorrow? I’m in lombard and looking around 11-12 starting time
Playing ravisloe at 2pm if anyone wants to join
@Kerry and @Kbergen28 … could get enough punishment and I’m headed back for more
A brave man. Ole Donny Ross got the best of me yesterday.
Cap’s got it all laid out in this other thread.

Looking for a fourth for this event coming up on Wednesday if anyone’s interested! It’s a fun, well run event
Edit: filled!
“Like the pros.” “Shotgun start.” Jemseks angling for a LIV event apparently.
Was talking with @treeputttim about having our match down at Kankakee Elks on Sunday Oct 16th, anyone else potentially interested in venturing south and filling out a 4some?
Looking to get rough interest for tee times at PrairieView in Byron on Sunday 10/16. There’s some from the Iowa end of things.
Drop your handle on the spreadsheet if you’d like a spot and we’ll see what we can book next Sunday. It looks like they have a scramble event on the Saturday before.

(@treeputttim & @Kbergen28 drive about the same as Kankakee Elks and play your match there!)

You should definitely play your match with this group of ragamuffins
Late response here, but I adopted Blackstone as a pseudo-home course this year ( I have some friends that work the pro shop for discount rates) , and I LOVED the course. I made the 50 minute drive about 15 times this summer and I thought it was well worth it. In my opinion, the distance from civilization kept the traffic and pace of play at a palatable level. The course itself has a great variety of tough challenges and birdie opportunities. After playing it 15 times I still have rounds in which I face new shots or situations - very fun. As a testament to the volatility of the course difficulty, I will admit that I shot a 70 and 88 within a 7 day span out there. Great course conditions and you’ll hit every shot in your bag. I’m definitely biased since I rarely paid the full rate, but I think the course is definitely underrated. IMO it would be a $120 rate if it was in the heart of the burbs
Bonus Pro Tip: drive into Huntley and hit up Parkside Pub for some lunch/dinner. The food is big fire. Their wings are better than most
But have you had their signature dish, turkey testicles?
